Wild hand at PokerStars

Had to share a wacky hand we just had at PokerStars. It was the first hand of a Sit'n'Go $55 tournament. I'm 3rd to act after the big blind. 1st player raises to $80. Folds around to me. I fold. Guy next to me goes all in, next guy folds, next also goes all in, folds around to the button, and he ALSO goes all in. At this point I'm thinking, WTF? Are these a bunch of rookies throwing away their money? Well, it turns out no. The first guy to go all in had QQ, next guy had KK, and the button had AA. Unfriggin' believable. But it gets better.

The flop was 2 5 6. Turn was 4. Guess what the river was? Yep, a 3. They split the pot three ways. Truly one of the strangest hands I've ever seen.

I was in hand similar to that in a SnG a while ago. Similar deal although it was later in the tournament. 4 guys all end up all in before the flop. 1 had AA, 2 had KK, and one had QQ. A Q hit on the flop and the worst hand of the bunch knocked the other 3 out.

Actually PrimeLord, the QQ has the 2nd best chance of winning. The KK's are drawing dead (except to a four flush on the board)

That's a good point. The Q's were the second most likely to win. Although the K's weren't drawing dead. In addition to the 4 flush they would chop broadway or king high straights with each other. Not that you really want those to be your only options. :)

one of the KKs can push up to over 1% depending on the suits of the cards and how many 4 flushes they can win and how many outs they have depending on sharing suits w/ the queen.

I'm not very knowledgable in Texas Hold 'em poker, but I feel like I know probability fairly well. Can someone explain why the Q's are more likely to win than the K's in this example?

Two players with the kings mean that there is no chance for them to get a king with the five cards on the board. The player with queens can draw one of the remaining queens to improve the hand.

As hoopsguy said without the ability to ctach a 3rd K on the turn they have virtually no way to improve to beat the Aces.
