I bought this guy for $400k about two weeks ago to help in a league match in a one-time affair. He doesn't fit in to my plans, so I thought I'd re-sell him. At the time, myself and a few others thought that I had gotten a pretty good deal for a guy with Passable Set Pieces and Weak Experience. So why can't I re-sell him? I started high, just to try to turn a profit, at $500k. That didn't work (I really didn't expect it to), but then I re-listed him for $400k, and he didn't sell. I did it again, and he's going to end in about 24 hours...and he still has no bids. Ideas? Is $400k really not that great a buy for this guy?

Id say most teams will wait until the last minute to bid unless you start the bidding low enough to get a large bidding war going. Other than that Id say that very low value might scare a few teams off.

I think you still will get at least 400K for him if you have his bidding end at a good time.

Another thing to bear in mind is that, over the course of a season, the market gradually switches from a seller's market to a buyer's market, then switches back to a seller's market at the beginning of a new season. It's not uncommon to see prices gradually drop, at least slightly, over the course of a season.

Also, it could just be a matter of poor timing. If there are a number of other players available for less when you try to sell Eliade, then obviously no one's going to bite.

I don't traffick in players of this high a level, but earlier this season I listed a Passable Forward for 45k and got no bids. I relisted at 35k, and he sold for 51k. So go figure.

Bids can be weird like OG mentioned. I usually put guys up at a little below what I want the minimum price to be hoping that at least a couple of people will bid at the deadline to get the price up to my "minimum". Almost always works (as long as the player isn't a stiff).

I recently sold a formidable defender. I listed him for 1 million and he didnt sell. So I relisted him at 900k. During that time, he got hurt with a +1 injury. He ended up selling for 1.1 million on the second listed.
Lesson here: the transfer market makes no sense.

always list lower if you want to get a player off your team.

List what you want if you don't mind waiting.

Also, he's controversial, which particularly right now I'm not in a position to take that kind of TS hit...

So I assume there are others out there like me.

Good point. After Im out of the cup for a few weeks and my TS drifts back to composed, I try to only buy pleasant and up.

not that it matters what the agreeability is.

as listed in the other thread. :)

?not sure what you mean?

the lower the agreeability the greater the chance of dropping your TS at the purchase.
