This past week Buster went from Inad PM'ing to Passable. What other guy can say that when he's in decent form he's started for a team from the Get-Go.. 1.5 years ago. Not only has he played for so many seasons now, but he has also been the team captain for every match he plays. Buster will be looking to obtain 4* this week. As you can see.. he also still gives 100% day in and day out. What a true player.
Do you have anyone that can match Buster? Also.. I need a good nickname for this guy.. any ideas?
Jerome Bettis. No doubt. The career scoring leader for the North County Raiders.
Johan Severs. 27yo. One of the originals. solid scorer
- has started 53 games
- scored 50 goals (including 6 hattricks)
- team captain
- possible future team coach

God will most certainly never be sold from my team. He is currently one of my two starting forward, and whenever I buy an excellent or formidable one with nice passing (my next big buy on the market), he'll remain at least as a backup, and eventually, he'll remain as an ambassador, playing a friendly here and there. But we're talking in at least 2-3 seasons before he's gone to the ambassador role...
About two weeks ago, I almost bought an excellent scorer with passable passing named Jesus, that would have been kind of cool to see them both on the field at the same time :)

He was one of my first purchases almost 2 seasons ago for 15k. Since then he has never missed a match because of an injury or cards. In fact he has played in every league match I have ever played except 1. That one he played a cup match for me instead.
Unfortunately for me, my plan is to sell him in about 6 more weeks when he hits formidable defense. I hope he finds a good home.

Purchased him on May 25th last year right before the announced experience changes for $74,000. Team Captain and Set Piece taker almost every game, while consistently getting 3.5-4* at Defensive WB or CD. 2nd in the series in scoring to a teammate. Also, will become my coach once Jean Duarte, currently a Solid/Weak Defensive Minded Coach drops to either poor leadership or Passable Coaching. Depends on my series next year, how much of an effect Leadership has and (knock on wood) if Stefan ever injures himself. Currently 453,000 to turn him into a Solid Coach, 3.2 million for an excellent.

Fan favorite, because of the name and pic, if you took the real Will Ferrell and picutred him at age 19 he probably looked like this guy.
William was a passable PM youuth pull in the middle of last season and after a few weeks at winger he finally got into the IMF training program. He's progressed nicely and will probably put up 3.5 to 4 stars at the start of next season if the stamina training goes well.

One of the first acquisitions ever made by the Seamen, "Headcase" as he is affectionately called has come to epitomize the tough-as-nails defensive attitude of the club. He has appeared in 74 competitive (league and cup) matches for the club, tallying eleven goals, fourteen bookings, and many a bruised and battered opponent during that time. He also has averaged one suspension in each of his first five seasons.
I can only recall two occasions where opponents were able to score header goals with Arlen on the pitch. He has earned 31 Team Match MVP awards, as well as the team's Best Defense Player and Most Valuable Player awards each of the last three seasons.

Karl comes to the United States, like many HT soccer players do, by the way of Sweden. Karl first joined THE EVIL GARGS back when they were simply known as the Gargoyles. Currently, he is learning the ropes from coach Mark Dessaux and holds the position as team leader. Rumor has it that the Gargoyles are grooming Karl to become their coach.
Karl's nickname came relatively easy as, Cornelius Ball, striker and avid Nintendo fan, recalled the glory days of gaming consoles. "Techmo" holds down the left wing or "The West Wing" as the Gargs like to call it when their team leader, Karl Ekmo, is playing the position.
Their is no telling how many more games the experienced winger will play for the Gargoyles. However, everybody in Chicago knows that "Techmo" will be with the Gargs for seasons upon seasons to come, either as player, coach or player/coach.
Rumor has it that Coach Dessaux can feel the pressure from his potential successor and has lost a lot of motivation and leadership ability.
Karl is a 3.5 - 4 star winger who has played in 51 competitive matches for the Gargoyles in 3+ seasons with the Gargoyles.

While Galesburg is filled with some colorful personalities (Loven and PINTO!, to name a couple), there is no question who 'The Man' is on our team. He's not a starter, he's not even that good, but he is the heart and soul of our team.

Top Offensive Player for Season 18, when Mosley led V.38 in scoring with 15 goals.
I will never, ever, ever get rid of Mosley. He wouldn't net much on the market, he's a reliable backup forward, and well, he's Daryl Mosley!
Edit: Daryl Mosley also has the distinction of sustaining the worst injury for a Galesburg player in history, and making a hellacious comeback. In the final game of season 18, he suffered a horrendous 6 week injury. It was 2/3rds through the next season before he was sufficiently recovered to play. But he lived, and he's still kickin!

Not because he's my best player (though he is), but because of what he allows us to do. Because of both his skill and his form (he's been in excellent form the vast majority of this season), we can play a 3-5-2 with an offensive coach and no defender better than Solid, and still pull a defense with all Outstanding/Formidables. That, my friends, is value to the team. :)

Hugo was one of my first purchases in HT, and he has done very well in the last year (real time). He has started 36 competitive matches for us and has six career goals to his credit. He's a 4-star player who is halfway to being outstanding. If it weren't for him my crappy midfield would be much, much crappier.

It was a sign Frogger.. that we should not see his true picture.. the halo of his head will hafta do...
despite the very obvious sign, I'm sure many, or at least some of you are curious, so here's what God looks like......

Because I'm too lazy to have 2 IE windows open at once, I've got 2 players that I consider the "heart" of RTFC.
One is Brad Hidalgo, one of the few players I was dealt when I started HT and still have. Granted, he hasn't seen play time in....at least a season and a half, I think, but he's a clown, so he stays with my team.
The other is Jonathan Dixon, my 17 year old stud formidable GK, who along with IM Pablo Lopez Basaguren, routinely gets MVP honors in my A-squad matches.

For the longest time, it was Mick Starks. He doesn't have the flashiest stats but he made a great offensive winger and added 2+ levels to that side of the offense so the H-Gun variation of the run-and-shoot was built off of him.
However, it really has to be Timber: Tim Kimber, keeper extraorinaire. I bought him 1 week below excellent for a nice rate of $313K. He definitely helps out the subpar defense and comes up big in a lot of big games. Not only that, but his 2 weeks in inadequate form earlier this month were 2 of only 3 weeks he hasn't been in passable or better form in the more than 3 seasons he's been in Houston.

There's two choices here for me...
Billy Bob Connelly
79 000 US$, 30 years, solid form
Has passable experience and wretched leadership abilities
Stamina: passable Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: solid Passing: poor
Winger: wretched Defending: inadequate
Scoring: weak Set Pieces: brilliant
Back when I showed up regularly in #int-htradio, Billy Bob was like a mascot for my team. Also, in my first season in IV, he led the series with 19 goals as an IM. Who says set pieces are useless? :P
Then, as always, there's "friendly filler" Buster Arce. No nickname needed for him.
Kjell Gunnarsson (112811)
33 years, inadequate form, healthy
A excellent coach who is fond of attacking
A sympathetic guy who is balanced and upright.
Has brilliant experience and inadequate leadership abilities.

Coach and #3 Midfielder. He is also has the second most competative match appearances of any player still playing in competative match for me. (62 to my number 2 midfielders 63)
Unfortunatly age is catching up to him as within the last month he has dropped from passable passing to inad and from passable leadership to inad. But since he is my coach he is here to stay with me for many more seasons.
A close second was the legendary Scott Currie who is only 21 yet has my third highest competative match caps of any current starter (52, 69 total appearances) and had 40 U-20 (highest in SA history) and 15 Nat team caps for South Africa.
