Reading Quik's Diary has given me more than enough inspiration to begin a few more seasons of FOF. In addition, I want to switch over to a fictional universe (i.e., i won't rename the teams to their NFL counterparts).

Not that I don't appreciate the creativity of Jim's names, but I was wondering if people would post their Fictional Universe's team names to spark some ideas. It was something that I thought would be easy, but it really isn't.

Here are a few of my own (i'll list only the teams I changed of Jim's originals:

Baltimore Rooks
Pittsburgh Strikers

Jax Cougars

Buffalo Bisons
Miami Sharks
New England Narwhals
New Jersey Generals

Denver Mustangs
Oakland Bandicoots

Detroit Wolverines
Green Bay Parakeets
Minnesota Penguins

Altanta Sparrowhawks
New Orleans Swampers
Tampa Bay Budgies

Dallas Rustlers
New York Grifters
Washington Senators

Arizona Rattlers
Seattle Sea Lions



Not very creative, which is why I would be interested in seeing other people's names.

BG, you can change cities now as well, so that is something you might want to consider.

I'd suggest checking out Quiksand's dynasties. He usually has some creative team names.

Thanks, Bee, I'll peruse Quik's material. I honestly thought there would be a ton of people with Ficticious Names for their teams. A bit disappointing.

i've always liked to name New Orleans teams the New Orleans Spiders...or you can use it for Cleveland. The Cleveland Spiders was an old baseball team i think, i know it was something in Cleveland originally..........

Well, I haven't gotten around to it yet. I have gotten 32 fictional logos to use, and when FOF2004 comes out, I'll plug those in and base the names off of the logos.

I am sure people will be a lot more useful in this department after the game is out.

another of my favorites is pretty simple, Wolves, i have always though there should be a Wolves in the NFL. They are usually the team i end up playing......

I have ficticious names (and helmets ;) ) in my dynasty, but they're not all creative. Some are, some aren't.
