Maybe this is my first mini-scoop. I switched from DirectTV to Comcast (no signal at new house) and not only lost Sunday Ticket but the NFL Network.

But . . . .. I just read on ESPN.com that the NFL Network just signed up with Comcast Cable for most of the major markets.

Awesome news. I just hope Seattle is one of them.

I just sent comcast a letter about adding the NFL network a few days ago, so I think you can thank me for getting this done. :)

Seriously though... where are my kleenex!?

The only problem now is that I have to decide whether I should get the NFL network or upgrade and get Fox sports wold.

Getting both is the best answer. Actually, from what it said in the Detroit News today, NFL Network is only going to be available on digital cable, so that may make the choice for you.

Being a Comcast digital cable subscriber, I really hope that they make this a part of their standard digital cable package. I already pay $75 for 2 Digital boxes WITHOUT HBO/etc/etc/etc. I hope this doesn't increase my bill by another $10 or so.

Comcast does hook up a lot of good channels, but I agree with you, they really like to burn a hole in our pocket. I doubt the NFL network will be standard, if they can make money off of it, why not make you pay?

Agreed. I'm all in favor of capitalism. Let the market dictate what something is worth. I don't have standard digital cable, I have the "plus" package, so I hope its included in that.

At least DirecTV doesn't require you to get the Sports Pack or any kind of premium add-on to get it.

That's probably because they see it as a form of free advertisement for the NFL package. For all of the other providers, it's the only thing they've got to sell that's NFL-related.

They'll probably make it part of Digital Deluxe, but maybe not. I finally got my Comcast back (I do have the digital deluxe) and there are TWO channels of NFL Network (which is wierd, but not unprecendented, I have two G4TTV since G4 bought out Tech TV)

Anybody seen this pop up yet on their channel guide. I don't see it. They better hurry up! Isid, are you saying you already had it on Comcast?

Yep, I got it on my channel guide... twice even! Channel 118 and 289. I'm in the Atlanta area. I don't know when it'll pop up in the Northwest. Call Comcast, I guess.

Watching Rich Eisen right now.

I love NFL Network.

It's one of the few channels that I know the number for...

Can anyone in DC confirm that the NFL network is channel 168? I went on TVGuide.com to check and it says 168 NFL, but I just wanted to verify that the channel was actually the NFL Network and not just classic NFL.

If it is the NFL Network, I am going to go Ape poopy.
