Merry Christmas, everyone!

The NFLsim (http://184.172.55.136/~football/) still has 13 openings, and we're kicking off Week 1 of the pre-season on SUNDAY! This will also be the first time stage files will be imported as well, so you can sign any of the FAs currently available. It's a great time to get involved at the ground level with a league that's sure to be a lot of fun.

We have a bunch of guys in this league, including myself, who've been in the same OOTP league for almost 3 years that runs DAILY (real-time), and we're entering our third season in April, so we have a committed group of guys already.

League details have also been adjusted some, so see the rules page for more information. Here's a recap:Weekly sim (with one interim), 2 seasons per calendar year (1 month offseason each)

Live draft

Trade restrictions (basically max of 4 trades per season)

Realistic injury setting

Random, hidden combine accuracy (to prevent rigged number crunching)

Accomplishments/badge system
Come check us out and fill out a membership form if you're interested!

Yep, we're doing games on just Sunday. Our baseball league does a real-time sim and it's terrific. I wasn't in favor of it at first until we got into it and you saw how awesome it really was.

While football is different, this gives time for teams to put a strong game plan together, make decisions, and then change their mind and then again(!), and still have time to really let the league simmer by way of articles and content on the website.

It's already working, because I'm super excited to see which FA's sign where on Sunday! And, I've already redone my own export a few times because I've had second thoughts. Had this simmed quicker, I'd have gotten in a bit of a jam.

I understand it may not be for everyone, and that's totally cool, but if you're interested in giving this format a shot, I encourage you to fill out an application as our baseball league RARELY has openings.

Week 1 completed and a 35-23 victory for San Diego over Houston. Guess who threw two pick-sixes?

The Chargers' mind-numbing 8-3 victory in Philly is sure to be listed as one of the worst games of the season in the end-of-year reviews. Good punting on both sides though.

We just simmed Week 3, and we have 3 openings still:

Atlanta
Cincinnati
Jacksonville

Adrian Peterson just went down for 93 weeks with a degenerative hip condition. Is he the next Bo Jackson?

Mike Lowe

Atlanta and Jacksonville remain as the only openings in the league. We don't have a single team on a "Strike List" either, so everyone is exporting at least weekly (we sim once a week).

Some great stories from week 4:

Heartbreaking loss for the 0-4 Vikes a week after losing Adrian Peterson, two Matt Cassel fumbles in their own territory in the last three minutes giving the Steelers two easy field goals for the 19-16 victory.

Sebastian Janikowski misses a field goal as time expires to send the Radiers in overtime against Washington, who must have thought they had the win in the bag with the overtime field goal only for Jeremy Stewart to rip off an 80-yard TD run on the very next play.

20 unanswered points lead the Titans to victory over the Jets as Ryan Fitzpatrick is on fire again, but the most surprising aspect of the game must be a 49-yard TD scramble by Mark Sanchez.

Josh Freeman steps in for the injured Russell Wilson to throw the go-ahead touchdown with his only pass completion to give Seattle a one-point win over the Texans.

The Patriots dominate in Atlanta and lead 21-3 with 10 minutes remaining but three unanswered fourth-quarter touchdowns by the Falcons give them a 24-21 victory.

We just simmed Week 6, and we have one opening still. We also have 4 teams who have 2 strikes, so we may be looking for some folks soon!

Currently, there's no one on the waiting list, so if you want to grab a team before we start heading into the offseason, this might be your best chance.
