I think she kinda got the Linda McCartney treatment. You could hear her every now and then, but, her mic is turned so low, you don't hear it the whole time, but probably loud enough for her to hear it in the monitors to make her think that everyone else can hear her.

Near the end, you're able to hear the woman a bit better and it becomes obvious why she was buried in the "mix," such as it is.
