What's a good way to find some discarded carpet that I can put down in an old storage area? It doesn't even need to be that nice, just better than a gross concrete floor that is there now. Preferably free or really cheap?


About 15' x 15' is what I'm looking at.

All I can think of is dirty jokes, sorry.

Find a carpet installed (yellow pages) stop by there.
They will throw out there remnants each night.
They will buy a roll for a house and if there is just 100-200 or so sf left over it gets tossed.

If you ask they will tell you where they toss it, and I actually had a local place take my phone number and call mee as soon aas they had what i asked for left over.
