The wife really wants a pink Ipod for Christmas, so I'm gonna get her a 4 gig Nano. Does anyone know of any reliable sites that would have it for cheaper than the Apple site ($199 with free shipping)?

Thanks in advance for the help...

you really cant get a deal on ipods, unfortunately. well worth the price though if they're going to be used regularly.

OK, cool. I found a couple of places for ten bucks cheaper, so I might go that route. Thanks again for the help, guys.

Audible.com has a deal where you get a $50 audible gift certificate if you buy through them.

My wife has been watching Ipods on ebay for a couple of months now looking for a good price. It doesn't seem like she's had much luck.

There are lots of sites out there where you can get an iPod for free just by answering a simple trivia question.

Of course, all you lame Firefox types don't even know about it. Burn on you!

No, i know that site from the emails I get. Hopefully when they're done processing my SSN, the barrister from Nigeria will send me my check.

I actually saw that yesterday, but she's doesn't want a Video and is adamant about having a pink one. Thanks, though.

For those of you who had yours engraved, what do people usually have engraved on there? Is it usually used for "Property of Jeeber's Wife" type of stuff or do people actually get mushy crap put on there?

all Apple products have to be advertised within $5 or so of the MSRP, so you won't see different prices from legitimate resellers. the different resellers compete by offering different rebates - PC Connection has a $25 rebate on the iPod, plus a bunch of other accessories that would be free after rebates.

Personally, I don't purchase anything with a rebate...but if you're one of the zillions of people who do, it's probably your best deal. It's an even better deal if you didn't live in TX (sales tax) and if you order more than $250 (free shipping).

No joke, talk about versatility! Legend has it, we was writing chapters of Wounded Knee during time outs of the football games up at Syracuse. Amazing.

And what if I told you the bar across the street has a nasty looking lady for $5?

Now who's getting the better deal here?

After seeing said nasty lady, Walmart.com is the better choice...not enough alcohol for her....
