Picked this book up from Barnes and Noble today.
It's been out a month or so now, it's by Michael Konik, and it's a page turner alright, (I actually read the whole book in about four hours!), and covers four years from 1997-2001. where Konik was first the front man for one of the biggest gambling syndicates around (called the Brain Trust), betting tens of thousands of dollars on games (mostly college and pro football, as well as college hoops), and winning time and time again, later forming his own group.
The book stuttered a bit when the heat came down on him in Vegas (after all, the Casinos CAN legitimately refuse to take your bets if you win too much!), and he was forced to take the high stakes action to the offshore gambling houses (and what he has to say about some of those places.. yeah, doesn't hold anything back.)
If you are a gambler, or an action junkie, this book is a must read.
