The picture at the bottom of the story noting about a last meal(its a person).
Thanks to the animal that started eating him for not eating his dick off.

Bucc, that post seems to violate posting policies here...I'd just direct people to the Snopes story without the link.

I needed to hxxp Snopes while many other links like MySpace and YouTube gets links or even direct videos?

The last picture on the page has a pantless man with one leg gnawed to the bone, flaps of muscle and tissue hanging, while the other seems missing entirely, and his package is on full display. Yes, I believe some employers might have an issue with that picture being displayed.

Without trying to start a 'this boxing is unfair' thread which normally happens in this case, if the link is deemed worthy of suspension, should it not be edited to an hxxp?

I'll put my $.02 in, bow out and not say anything more. That's not the rule stated in the link policy. That policy -- and wisely so -- makes reference to a "site," which for our purpose is the entire site, not just the page linked.
If the argument is that Snopes is an objectionable site, then all Snopes links should be hxxp. If Snopes is considered an objectionable site, the YouTube should absolutely also be objectionable.
I say this with the full recognition that the rule also states that it's ultimate mod's discretion. That's fine. But I'd propose for everyone's clarity that in the rules that have just been restickied recently, the verbiage be changed to include pages and sites.
I understand that the page in question was objectionable, but the I don't think the site is based on earlier decisions. If Snopes is objectionable, direct links to YouTube need to be shut down too.
No more backseat driving from me. I'll respect what Ben and the mods decide from here on in on this issue.

So, yeah.. I think I like Ursa Major.. Or as Neuqua seems to suggest, Urlacher Major?
Also, apologies to Bucc, because I feel partially responsible for the unfortunate turn of events leading to his boxing.. I mean, I didn't have to start a thread.. How often do I do that anyway?
Not that I feel it is unfair or anything, rules are rules.. I better make sure to pay more attention to them myself though, just in case.
Anyway, I am going to try to beat the 4th dungeon on Buccaneer: The Misadventures of Link.

The link in the sig immediately preceding my post has several photos that would certainly be deemed NSFW. I don't see how that's any different than a link to a Snopes page with questionable pics.
Not trying to pick on Julio, but the crazy penalty handed out to Bucc.
Sheesh, what a downer. And this thread started out being such a frolicing good time.

I should first apologize for that, it seems people have been leaving me those awesome picture comments that I get such a kick out of..
There are several profiles on here linking to myspace, so I assume it was mostly due to those comments on my page- Either way, I don't have a problem taking that off my sig if it is an issue.
Its a touchy subject all around, to be sure.. Considering people shouldn't even be surfing these pages while they are at work, so it shouldn't even matter what is put on them.. But I understand where a good chunk of the users in this forum come from, and can see why we go that extra mile to protect this sanctuary of sorts. If anyone decides that myspace should not be linked, I'll be the first to get rid of my link to it.

Is it possible to disable hotlinking on FOFC entirely? It would make things more annoying, but would also prevent mistakes leading to inadvertant boxings.

Give Buc a break. Back in his day when men were men out on the frontier, gnawed legs and hanging tissue were commonplace.

Don't misunderstand.. I am as much a slacker and a corner cutter as the next guy.. But to be truthful, we're really not supposed to be doing this at work, right? We do it anyway, but I think in my opinion it should be looked at as a situation where its your own ass thats on the line, so if you get caught, then who else can you really blame?
Thats just my opinion on things, I honestly don't mind following rules when it is in the best interest of everyone involved, so I don't really mind that there are restrictions on such things as what we can post here, because its not really that big of a difference maker in how much I enjoy reading the goings on.
Just clarifying that I am not an irrational fool, just a realist with a bad sense of humor.

I've never had a job where a boss has any problem with anyone taking occasional breaks and playing around on the internet. I mean, how many people are fired/disciplined for this kind of thing anymore (outside of porn, etc.)? On the other hand, if my boss walked by and saw that I was looking at a half-eaten naked dead guy - there may be an issue.

In retribution are you going to have your snipers take out Urlacher before the Bears/Chargers Super Bowl? ;)

That's true (next time, I'll look at all of the pics first). Several years ago, I did get in trouble at work by the Net Snooper (or whatever it was called) by looking at a thread here at FOFC that had a link or image to a Maxim-type site. I didn't click on the link but it did get logged and then they found out how much time I had been spending at FOFC. I know security had changed focus in the past couple of years in logging where people have been and if anything comes up as a flag (e.g., game site, porn site, web mails, spyware/spamware, etc.), they will completely block it.
