Check out the current standings in the NBA's Eastern & Western Conferences..

Wonder what kind of odds you could get in LV on a ATL/NO-OKC NBA Final?

Should we live so long.

As one of the few Hawks fans West of the Mississippi I would love to see it. Only question would be where the Hornets will play their home games in the finals?

I do like the makeup of this year's team but I am skeptical of Atlanta's bench going deep into the season and playoffs. Lot of basketball left to play.

Hawks are surprising some people, but they've managed to keep their key guys together for the most part so improvement was always probable. They are catching people off guard right now, but that won't last.

As for the Hornets, I'm a big fan of West and obviously Paul, but they still lack some pieces. Peja at SG isn't my idea of a key to success, but with the acquisition of him and Chandler it at least appears that they are trying to turn these guys in to contenders. Probably a few seasons away though.

The Hornets will come back to earth and certainly won't make the finals in the West, but I do think they've got enough to make the playoffs in the 6-8 seed range (with the usual caveat of staying healthy). The deal with OKC is to play the playoffs up there and I expect them to stick to the agreement, though with a return to New Orleans next season essentially certain, I'm guessing the organization might regret that come May.
