I'm having IE problems. I really wouldn't give a shit (I use Firefox), but I just d/loaded Puresim Gold Edition, and it's not working right due to a display problem with IE. I don't know how to explain the problem other than..........go to this site http://webmail.boone.k12.ky.us/exchange/logon.asp
With Firefox, I get a yellow background, with IE I get no background at all. It seems as though my IE is not showing background stuff with colors, and therefore, no menu options come up with Puresim. I'd try a clean install, but when I try to install the IE again it says that I already have a later version running. I fucking hate IE, any suggestions?

sounds pretty funky, all i can think of is making sure your Accessibility Options are at the defaults. You can find them at (from IE) Tools->Internet Options->Accessibility. Nothing should be checked here. Check 'Colors' and 'Fonts' too, just to make sure theyre not set to something specific.

Man........that fixed it, "ignore colors on specified web pages" was checked. What's your local watering hole? I may call in a beer on my tab for you. Thanks.

I guess I had checked the damn thing when I was having font problems a few months back in a futile effort to fix that problem. When you get that beerpal.com/ created, let me know.

I'd be buying the first beer on it if you set it up. That IE had me seriously pissed off, and my OOTP html's had been screwed up for a few months, and puresim's game options didn't show up so I couldn't play it. We need to talk these developers into making the games recognize Firefox, I hate IE.

The site is already taken, but I do like the idea. I called my GF after i wrote that and told her the idea, she digs it too. I think its probably a little too specific tho.... if youre gonna give them a beer, why not just give them 2 bucks via paypal? Id approach it more like the bar itself would have an account on the site and you could send a drink/(food) to that bar for someone. You could even "network" a bunch of bars, with video conferencing and send beers to cute girls across town or country http://dynamic.gamespy.com/%7Efof/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif

i should probably keep these ideas to myself, since im a web develeop and all http://dynamic.gamespy.com/%7Efof/forums/images/smilies/redface.gif

right, that is pretty much what i was thinking. bars would setup accounts (really simple to do really) and people could essentially just authorize that bar to charge X-amount to their credit card with an attached note as to who it was for say. as for the video conferencing...that might be a bit much no? Unless you were doing that in a local-area type thing...so I could notice that say there was a hot girl across town at another bar and then i dragged my drunk ass over to that bar to hit on her...like a bar-dating type thing...
