Anyone seen this today? OK, we can talk about how stupid Steven A. Smith and ESPN Hollywood and Stu Scott are, but at least they were trying to do something with sports. Whatever the fuck this cartoon shit is at espn.com is just sad, really sad.

After visiting espn.com for 10 years online, I had stopped going there completely early this summer. I have been getting all of my sports online from cbs and mlb.

OMG! How funny is that? I can't believe no one there has noticed!

I am pretty sure they have noticed. They actually put cartoon characters on their front page with a link to a dominatrix and panty raids. It is really rock bottom for this company. I watch for live sports and NFL primetime. I read Bill Simmons. Sadly I used to do a whole lot more on both the website and TV. They really need a shake-up in thier marketing department.

I haven't been to ESPN.com since it became a shitfestering brew of flashing ads and useless information.

I guess the guy that wrote this story is a head writer at ESPN or something. Tsk tsk...

Yep, story and characters by Jim Caple.

I wonder if this is just another attempt to lure in a) non/very casual sports fans or b) women (if it is a soap opera-ish story - though that could lure in guys too, as evidenced by Simmons' fascination with 90210 and The OC).
