1. Navigate to www.google.com

2. Type the word "failure" in the search box

3. Click the "I'm feeling lucky" button

4. Go "Teehee!"

5. Proceed to NOT be upset by this thread if you're a Bush supporter as it is simply intended as light fun.

Same thing but search for french military victories instead.

Really old, but still my favorite.

Wasn't there a good one for WMD's too? It came up with one of those pages that looked like a 404 can't be found page, but was about WMD's in Iraq instead. I can't remember the search though.

Google bombings can be pretty funny.

You don't even have to hit "I'm Feeling Lucky." Just hit google, and the link still comes up first.

I don't care about this, but turnabout is fair play. When I google "cigar," Clinton's bio should show up. :)

Is there a list of google "easter eggs" (for lack of a better term)?

I think the term is actually "google bombings" since it isn't google that makes the results the way they are. Rather, people take advantage of google's ranking system to link to pages they want targetted. "Failure" goes to GW's bio because many intrepid people linked to it that way. Unless I'm wrong (which could be).

Great Wiki entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_bombing) on Google bombings.

Ah, well in that case, this makes perfect sense. Those who were so caught up in their hatred of Bush succeeded in making a funny joke on the internet that people are only aware of if directed to it; meanwhile, Bush got re-elected. More google bombings, please.
