How do you guys wash your ball caps? What, if anything, do you do to retain the shape of the hat?
My wife has always done the wash so I am a total greenhorn when it comes to laundry. Yet my hats tend to get sweat stains and I'd like to wash them without ruining them. Any ideas?

I saw a ballcap washer at Target, I think it was, in their $1 bins. Looked like a device shaped like a ballcap that you put the cap in, to put it in the washer so it would retain its shape.

you can accomplish the same thing with a cool whip bowl, and then the top shelf of the dishwasher, like someone said above me.

Dish washer if fine, but make sure the hat doesn't have any plastic covering. Some of the cheaper ones use a plastic blend instead of fabric and it will fall apart from the hot water.
If you bought it at a store your probably fine, it's usually the custom ones that you get from a company or as a giveaway that are cheap.
