Somebody hit my car today while I was at work and drove off. Nice big dent starting back at the trunk and going all the way up front (like they just drove up along the side of it, not even caring). Totally undriveable, the rear wheel is pressed against the wheelwell. And they just drove off.
Not that I'm going to have to pay, but what a pain in my ass! Now I gotta deal with the insurance company, the bodyshop, a rental car, the cops, etc. Goddamnit. I hate everyone. I am so fucking pissed off right now!

Fockers. I worry about that all the time at the new apartments, people here do not know how to park at all.

yeah. and the landlord of the place where i work won't let us park in the lot cuz there "aren't enough spots." well you can bet i'm parking in the damn lot from now on. At least then the cars wouldn't be tear-assing down the hill and giving me this massive headache of problem. GRRRRRRR. What a fucking day.
not that this is anything compared to Katrina, but still.

Yeah, same thing happened to me a few years ago. At this point, I'd be surprised if someone hit me in a lot where they can more or less "get away with it" and stood around or left me contract information. People in America are jackasses more often than not. Sucks that I'm 24 and feel that way huh?

That's because he, like you, has already recognized "the rule of the 80" (which probably ought to be upgraded to 90 at this point).

You're right, I can't say that nobody cares about other people, but its really dwindling by the day.

I know I recognize it, but can you please explain the rule of 80 :)

I felt that way when I was 18!! Some people can be downright pieces of shit, but luckily, there's a few that make life somewhat tolerable.

I got my wife a new car in 2002. It's been hit 7 times already. Within two months of getting it, someone smacked into it.

Yeah, its reasons like this I pretty much park far away in parking lots. Sometimes though street parking or tight parking is unavoidable however.

We've got some asshat in my apartment complex who loves to do door dings and not just little ones but giant ones. It's so bad that my wife (wow, still sounds weird to say that) and I have taken to trying to park next to each other so at least half of each of our cars are protected. Can't figure out who is doing it, tho. You'd think there would be a car or two that doesn't have any problems on it (since they can't ding their own door) but we just can't find it.

My girlfriend had her car parked along a major road (17th ave or the "Red Mile" if you pay attention to hockey) while she was shopping and upon coming back she found that someone had caved in her back drivers side door. However they left a note. It was some guy in his 20's, talking on his cell phone. He wasn't too happy about it but his insurance covered all the damages (~4000) and it wasn't that much of a hassle.
