View Full Version : 1990s Song Title Puzzle
Klinglerware
08-26-2005, 09:30 AM
I had a blast trying to solve WSUCougar's 1980s song title puzzle, so I thought I would try my hand at creating a 90s puzzle. This is my first attempt at building a puzzle of any kind, so hopefully it will be at the appropriate level of difficulty.
Without further ado, here are the rules as posted by WSUCougar, followed by the clues:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, here's a collection of clues for 1990s song titles. Some clues are literal, some are not. There are 26 artists/bands, one for every letter of the alphabet. The clues are sorted alphabetically, but this has no impact on the puzzle other than to randomize the list. Artists can be used for the first letter of either their first or last name (example: Britney Spears could be a “B” or “S”). Ignore the word “The” for band names (Example: The Cardigans would fall under “C”). I will acknowledge and "green font" the correct answers once they are posted. Good luck!

Could this be from the movie Heathers? The only hobbies I can think of from that movie are copying handwriting and being really mean and bitchy...any ideas?

Well, yeah to a lot of people. The 90s were interesting (in my opinion) by the diverse (but radio friendly) styles that did end up on the radio. I tried to pick songs that reflected that... I think that all the songs are ones that most of you should know if you know at least a bit of 90s pop culture...
The guesses are all on the right track so far, by the way (but not the last two... sort of, oliegirl is thinking along the right lines).

Lot received a prophecy from God that he was going to destroy the villages of Sodom and Gamorrah...he fled with his wife and 2 daughters, they reached the mountains which is when his wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. He and the daughters found shelter, got drunk and had sex together for 2 nights - they each birthed a male child who became the leaders of tribes.
Sodom - sodomy?
