I am still pimping A&E's Horatio Hornblower. There should be a total of 8 movies.
I know I jumped for joy when I saw this collection available at NetFlix.

If you want to see a movie that is slightly off the beaten path and will blow your mind because it is a true story try "The Dish".
A NASA moon landing kinda thing.
Go and Body Shots as my semi-obscure selections.....

If you're going with Australian films I prefer "The Castle" althoguh the Dish is also very good.

Waking Ned Devine, Zero Effect, Get Shorty, and Heist are all pretty good flicks. Of Course if you want a good classic that you haven't seen probably...The Best Years of Our Lives was WONDERFUL!!

American Movie.
Just had to give this a bump... watched this one last night for the first time in about 2 years. Still a classic that had me crying with laughter a half dozen times. Awesme flick, and even better if you know Milwaukee and the cast of characters that make an appearance in the film (UWM "Jim" and Schenk being the top 2 'characters').
I highly suggest watching this film if you have the means.

I can also vouch for City of God... my hit-list of must-see foreign films:
Talk To Her

Brother (a fair amount of English in this one... Omar Epps co-stars)
Y Tu Mama Tambien

Sex and the City?! Wow, I never expected to hear that from a guy!!
I'd suggest "The Office": it's incredibly witty and very realistic in that everyone seems very "natural". I've met so many of those characters in office environments it's ridiculous!
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Suicide Kings, The Incredibles, Undercover Brother, Beautiful Mind, House of Sand and Fog

For a tv show, get Sopranos....rent every season in order. You will want to cancel plans to continue watching it.
