"If we were doing a Braves version of Mount Rushmore, John's face would likely be carved on that mountainside," said Braves general manager John Schuerholz, who came to Atlanta three years after Smoltz did.
Is he suggesting we start a Braves Mount Rushmore thread? :)

If Rowland Office, Pat Rockett and Claudell Washington aren't the other three faces, it is unquestionably bogus.

A Braves outsider here, but when I think of the Braves, the first guy that comes to mind is Dale Murphy. I'd go Murphy, Smoltz, Glavine and Trent Hubbard myself. :) :)

Other guys who haven't been mentioned who would deserve discussion...
Warren Spahn
Eddie Matthews
Phil Niekro
I think it might be fair to limit it to the Braves time in Atlanta--or since 1966.
If we do that, I think it is
Niekro
Aaron
Murphy
Smoltz

My best Baseball memories will always revolve around the rag tag foursome of Fransisco Cabrera, Sid Bream, Jeff Blauser and Jeff Treadway.

Bob Horner, What About Bob?
I remember a parody song about Bob Horner to the tune of "Swingin'" entitled "Eatin'".
The key line was about showing up fat "like Bob Horner in the spring. Justa Eatin'"

I'll Rafael Ramirez over Rafael Belliard any day. And Rick Mahler over both of them.

That is pretty good, but really I think that the success of the last 12 years suggest it should be:
Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, and then as a token to the past, Murphy.

Bob Horner has to be on there. There can be no discussion on this. He IS the braves to me. Bob sat in the corner Horner. Is there a better baseball third baseman's name than that? That would be like a Dodger Mt. Rushmore without Ron Cey.

I agree with 3/4 of this list, if we're talking only Atlanta. In that case, I think you pretty much have to have Dale Murphy as one of the four. Honestly, I think there's only room for one guy from the 90's, and that probably has to be Smoltz.
So, I'd go with Aaron, Niekro, Murphy and Smoltz.
If you don't limit it to Atlanta, it's awfully hard to leave Eddie Matthews and Warren Spahn off.

I'm thinking Maddux was an established Cy Young winner with the Cubs before he was with the Braves, and now he's back with the Cubs. Glavine's a bit better choice than Naddux, but he's also gone. And, I've always considered Glavine a lesser pitcher than Maddux or Smoltz (just personal opinion).
Basically, Smoltz has been there the whole time, was dominant, was their best playoff pitcher, and now he's a dominant closer, still with the Braves.
