Undefeated streak is about to end...it's 60-51 with 3:04 remaining...Will they get a #1 seed if they lose?

dola...With 1:39 left Washington leads 61-54...It looks like there's only going to be one undefeated team in the nation...Key stat- Stanford - 3-3 on Free throws...Washington - 10-12

Yeah, I was gonna post on this. Not too surprising, I guess. Makes them look real vulnerable going into the tourney, that's for sure.

Stanford looked out of sync for most of the game. Most of the time they settled for jumpshots. Chris Hernandez was the only one to consistantly attack the basket. Josh Childress had a hot streak in the second half but it wasn't enough to get them back into the game.

Washington's win makes the NCAA tourney selection process more interesting. A lot of people want to believe that this win will be enough to get them in. I'm thinking anything less than an appearance in the finals of the conference tourney could leave them in the NIT. If you watched this team back in December and then now, the difference is incredible. They will be the ultimate test of how important the RPI really is in the selection process.

What an amazing turnaround this team has performed - from 0-5 in conference to winning 12 of their last 13. If you'd asked people in December what they thought of the Huskies, they would've been skeptical that they'd qualify for the tournament - the Pac-10 tournament that is. Anyone suggesting they'd be possible NCAA qualifiers would've been considered loco.

I suspect they'll have to win at least 2 games in the conference tournament even with their current hot streak and victory over #1 Stanford to get in, but they'd make a hell of a story if they do. Is there a more entertaining player to watch right now than Nate Robinson?

Washington pretty much needs to win the Pac-10 tourney. Going into tonight their RPI was 90, and this win didn't improve it all that much, probably 5 spots or so. The lowest RPI to ever get a bid was a 74, so they are going to need to win out to get in.

I'm so happy for Romar. I knew he was a good coach when he was here with the Bilikens, but WOW, nice job in just his 2nd year with the Huskies.

Nice job Romar, we miss you in St. Louis! (I will say however, Soderberg has done a good job thus far).

Lord knows how Romar did it, but I doubt you'll see the Huskies that good next year. Just shows how bad the PAC-10 was

Considering there's only 1 senior on the team, and their best (only?) big man has been hobbled the whole season with injuries, this is a seriously misinformed comment.

Great win by Washington.

Huskie basketball better than Huskie football. That's a once in a century headline.

Stanford did have some really close calls. It is tough for a team to go into the tourney undefeated. No way they should lose a number one seed though. Who is there that will leap frog them?
