I'm in 2049... How long do you guys go before performance becomes an issue?

Do you mean how the game runs? I've got one that is 60+ years and another I've just started a week or two ago and it is around 15 already.

I mean just how big do most let their careers get before they just become too big to handle...

I've never been fired, but have voluntarily left. I moved the New York Jets to Los Angeles (and made them the stars). I stayed there unil about 2040, left for San Diego for a while... then took over San Francisco in 2055 or so.
