The FOFC Winston Cup is now known as the FOFC Nextel Cup.

Any driver who signed up for Season 10 is all set for Season 11.

New Driver App - Please give me your driver name and either a number you would want or sponsor you would like. If you give a sponsor pease also state which number you would like. If your sponsor cannot be found I will then find a car with your number instead. http://www.nascarnet.com has numerous cars you can look through. The car must be for the Nascar Racing 2002 game though.

All new drivers please PM with your stats. The following will explain how to create your drivers stats. Also, any current driver who is not happy with how their driver finished this past season and would like to create a new stat set do the same as new drivers would and send me a pm with the new stats.

You have 200 points to add to the first stat set. The Min can go no lower than 70. The Max can go no higher than 100. Their must always be at least 5 points between your Min and Max. If you do not want to make your own stat set I can come up with a random one for your driver. There is no guarentees as to how that driver would perform though.

There will be very few openings for the new season. So if you would like a spot in the new season please sign up quickly. I will not be allowing any current driver to add a second or third driver at this time because of the limited number of openings. There will probably only be about 3 or 4 openings.

ESPN News Flash: Turmoil at Snow Motorposrts!!

In a stunning turn of events Chris Snow, owner of SMI and Driver of the #40 coor's light Chevy has retired!! SMI has also given the outright release of Kai Collins from his contract. Romours abound at his interest in driving for another team and that he may in fact have been contacted by a few already.

Ren Snow will step into the #40 machine while Telle Snow will remain in her ride with the #79 national Geographic Chevy.

No-one was available for comment at SMI to give any further information on this huge change in what has been the dominant racing team in league history.

More updates on this breaking news as we recieve it!!

Hopefully the rookie can run a bit better this season. As for Sterling, I just need to make sure his streaks come at the right time. He needs to be able to put it together for an entire season instead of only half.

Collins lands ride on eve of Season

FREMONT- On the eve of the start of the season, Nextel Cup veteran Kai Collins was given the official nod this afternoon from President of ChampCar Motorsports, Kevin Boroniec for the team's second seat as they expand to a full two-car effort in the Nextel Cup.

Collins, has been testing with the Champcar Motorsports squad alongside Canada's Paul Tracy (#60 Disney) in a second car since January and will pilot the #18 Blockbuster Video beginning with the Nextel Cup season-opener in Florida, at Daytona.

"I can't tell you how excited I am to re-join the competition after almost not securing a ride this year," said Collins. "I know I am capable of competing with these youngsters, and maybe even teaching them a thing or two!"

A veteran competitor with many Nextel seasons and starts under his belt, Collins’ struggled last season with Snow Motorsports. Collins is excited to get this season started and put last years dissapointing behind him.

Boroniec and the ChampCar Motorsports team have been vocal in their support of the Nextel series and have been working diligently since the middle of last season on the plans that have resulted in the expansion to two entries for the first time in the team's history.

"We have an enormous amount of respect for the experience and racecraft that Kai brings to our team," said Boroniec. "And we have every confidence that he will bring that expertise to bear and help us to reach the next stage in our team's development - to be a respected competitor week-in and week-out."
