* Is it time to give up on David Boston? Should I really believe I might actually want to start this moron by the end of the season?
* Will Tony Gonzalez rebound, or will Shannon Sharpe consistently out-produce him this year?
* Any suggestions for emergency RB's to go after or trade for?

For this week, pick up Rudi Johnson. He'll get a lot of carries, anyway.

I don't think the future is bright in San Diego for David Boston, at least until there is a coaching change there. As long as Marty and LT are there David Boston will be an average Fantasy reciever (when he plays). He doesn't like to practice and Marty doesn't play a player that misses practices. I would hold on to him, but I wouldn't start him until I see a change in things there.
Shannon Sharpe will out-produce Gonzalez this season, for 2 reasons. First, Priest Holmes is the 1st running and recieving option on that team and on top of that Trent Green is slowly getting more and more comfortable with Kennison, Morton, and the rest of the recievers. Second, Shannon Sharpe is playing on a team with a QB that is learning a new system. Most QB's look for the TE when a play breaks down or they need to dump off, and that happens a lot for QBs in a new system, so Sharpe should be in for a very good year this season.
If Lamar Gordon or TJ Duckett are available I would grab them. Gordon would be temporary until Faulk returns, he's not a superstar, but he is adequate and he plays in a good offense. Duckett on the other hand should be the starter for the rest of the season and now that Atlanta is finally giving him a chance he should put up good numbers. He's a big back with good speed and his numbers should improve with Vick's return and a more balanced offense.

Agreed on Duckett.
It might be worth trying to go for Corey Dillon as well - he's going to be out this coming week, and has a bye week the one after that... you may be able to get him cheap, and he'll probably be a good guy to have the latter half of the season.

Here's my yahoo team: Currently 2-2 in a 10 team head to head league. I thought my strenth would be my RB's but due to bye weeks and injuries I have not been able to capitalize on their points potential.
QB- Jeff Garcia
WR- Andre Johnson
WR- Koren Robinson
RB - Clinton Portis
RB - Cory Dillon
TE - Tony Gonzalez
WR/TE - Kennen McCardel
WR/RB - Tiki Barber
Bench
QB- Davis Carr
RB - Mo Williams
RB - Shawn Bryson
WR - Jerry Porter
WR - Ashlie Lelie
WR- Bobby Shaw
Defense - Peppers / Uralacher / Dwayne Washington

I picked up Bryson for Detroit, since Jamal has the week off and James is still hurt. Gonna go see if I can get Rudi Johnson.

Johnson plays against the Bills, so I picked up Duckett and cut Kevin Faulk.

My major issue is at running back. I've got Shaun Alexander and basically no-one else. Frustratingly, I can't get any of the owners to even seriously engage in talk for one of their RB's. My entire league seems convinced that they can win with their current lineup.
my roster:
QB
Marc Bulger
Kerry Collins
RB
Shaun Alexander
Eddie George
Emmitt Smith
Warrick Dunn
WR
Randy Moss
Eric Moulds
Derrick Mason
Andre Johnson
David Boston
Chris Chambers
Reggie Wayne
TE
Jeremy Shockey
Shannon Sharpe
Defense
Pittsburgh
Kicker
John Kasay (carolina)
our starting positions:
1 QB
2 RB
2 WR
2 RB/WR
1 TE
1 Def
1 K
Obviously I'm searching for my #2 running back, where all my bums have left me hanging week after week. Moss & Moulds are a great 1-2 WR combo, but after them it's a bunch of inconsistent performers.
Due to a team qutting the league (lord knows why, he already paid up).. we're having an allocation draft. There are some decent players available to me, but I'm not sure which will most upgrade my team. I can have the Tampa Bay defense if I want it, so I think i'm going to grab them and continue to try to trade for a #2 RB. I think I can make the playoffs with my current lineup, but without another good RB I may be screwed in the post-season.
