I just downloaded the demo of FoF4, and boy I just don't know where to begin. I used the help system to sorta piece together some of the information, but well I didn't find the help all that helpful in helping my put it all together. I played 3 exhibition games, but could never find any statististics to evaluate how players had done. Maybe I wasn't supposed to do that? I mean should I just take my scouts word on a players ability?

Is there a printed manual anywhere? Is there some sort of quickstart guide, or a newbie guide of some sort?

Have you set the option to save your own game logs and box scores?

Just to clarify this is the demo...not the current release..and I am dealing with Preseason games. That noted, I will go looking for that option.

After a game is played, on the schedule screen there you will see a little picture of a box and/or log. Click on either of those to open up the game log, or the box score. You will only see them if you have the option turned on.

I don't know of a printable manual. Some guys here put together a strategy guide a couple years ago for one of the older versions, but things have changed enough that it probably wouldn't be much help.

I'd suggest just asking questions if you get stuck, and like 3ric said you probably don't have the game log/box scores turned on under the game options (I think it is defaulted as off to save HD space).

I also don't think the demo really does the game justice. Because it's so short, you don't get to experience a lot of the game itself. I think this is one of the mistakes that Jim has made with his demos from the beginning. He should allow for a full season and off season in the demo IMO.
