There should be a submitted by thing with it. I have being seeing a lot of QOTM from myself and don't want people to assume I am submitting my own for a confidence boost. I was planning on doing that when my Crawfish Dynasty started to die.

For what it's worth, I've probably submitted 2 or 3 of your quotes for QOTM... what can I say? Your posts are comedic gold...

Thanks, I am not saying I don't like to see my posts up there, but when you see a bunch from someone who is relatively new, I assume he is doing it.
Completely off topic, but on the comedic gold thing, after watching last comic standing on NBC lately, I have seriously considered trying stand up comedy. I already do it at parties when I am completely wasted and people laugh. Hopefully not because my pants are down though.

See what I mean? QOTM material, right there. ;)
I'll let somebody else submit it, though... I don't want people to start thinking I'm having some sort of wierd gay crush on you or something...

Our secret is safe on the internet.
Okay, now I am just trying too hard.

Too late.
By the way Franklin, your comedic touch has been awfully quiet lately. You came on the board like the Sports Guy on crack, but as of late you've been kinda quiet, kinda subdued. More like Jim Caple or Jayson Stark.
Bring back your Simmons-esque banter of old!

Wow... high praise from our resident media celebrity.
As for me being 'off,' I don't know how to explain it... it's probably one of those sports slumps that requires a change of equipment... you know, kind of like how Tiger Woods is switching back to the Titleist drivers after he finally succumbed to the fact that Nike's suck... or how Jordan wore #45 when he came back, but eventually went back to #23... maybe I just need to wipe off my keyboard, I dunno.
Who's Jim Caple?

Yeah... I'll never switch hit for you if you're not more cocky and funny.

Jim Caple is another of ESPN's Page 2 columnists. At least he was last time I checked.

I was pleased to see two of my quotes up top in the quote of the moment. And guess what, I didn't even submit them! They like me, they really like me:D

Funny that the first 3 posters in this thread are probably the three funniest posters on the entire board.
 for the funnies

Since I started this thread, I will assume I am one of the first three. Thanks!

I assumed he'd catch the subtle reference... maybe he missed this one. (http://espn.go.com/page2/s/simmons/030725.html)
