The FCFL will start Week 1 of its first regular season on Monday, January 10, and has openings.
The FCFL (FOF College Football League) is a Front Office Football league that seeks to simulate a college football environment as best as possible. We have 32 of the best college football programs, split into conferences in accordance with the current NCAA as well as the wishes of the coaches who formed the league.
Some similarities between the FCFL and college football:
Players only have 4 years of eligibility. They may redshirt one year, but they have 5 to play 4. After their 4th year of eligibility, or their 5th year, they must be cut.
Schools will recruit players, instead of drafting them. All the coaches will have access to the draft file, and we'll recruit players in a manner similar to, but simpler than, TCY. Distance will be a factor.
Some differences:
Bowl games will be replaced by playoffs -- don't most people want a playoff in college football anyway?
There are only 32 teams. But really, there's only 32 or so teams in contention any given year anyway!
You'll play teams in your conference twice a year. How could having Michigan-Ohio State, or Alabama-Auburn twice a year be a bad thing?
If any FCFL members want to comment, feel free! And if anyone interested has any questions, ask away!
