View Full Version : Survivor FOFC: The Final Tribal Council

stkelly52
05-13-2003, 03:44 AM
16 Survivors stranded on a message board. One by one they voted each other off untill just 2 remain, Ardent Enthusiast and Kodos. Now the very people they helped vote off will be the ones who will vote on who deserves the title: FOFC's Sole Survivor.

For this tribal council, unlike the others, you will be voting on who you want to win, not who who want to vote off. So if you send in your vote and you write "player A", then that means you want player A to be the winner, which would be really stupid because the only choices are Kodos and Ardent Enthusiast.

The following contestants submitted questions, so they are the only ones who are elegible to vote and should send thier vote to me by PM.
Coffee Warlord
John Galt
SplitPersonality1
Draft Dodger
McSweeny
Marmel
Swaggs
JeeberD
Radii

The FOFC as a whole gets one vote (the poll at the top of this page). HOWEVER, in the event of a tie (which can only happen if someone does not vote), the FOFC's vote will be cast out to determine the winner.

It is time to cast your vote.

Well it looks like Kodos is off to the surprising lead in the popular vote. Can he take the 5 needed votes to win from the contestants?

Radii

I asked questions too! :) I should be on the list that gets to vote.

oops, yes you did, I'll edit that now

Let's move this back onto the first page

Radii

I think we have the answer. People see Kodos' name and just start drooling wildly and thinking POLL POLL ITS A POLL and click next to Kodos :) He wins whether him "winning" is a good or a bad thing!

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:04 AM
Interesting theory Radii. I was rather surprised that Kodos was winning this poll considering he has lost most of the other polls.

stkelly52

Swaggs is the only survivor who has not yet cast his vote. Could his be the deciding vote?

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 12:00 PM
Ardent is catching up. Just one vote seperates the two.

Kodos
05-14-2003, 12:06 PM
D'oh! That one vote is all that is saving me from a possible shutout loss. :(

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 12:13 PM
Or perhaps it is just what gives you a shut out win?

Poli
05-14-2003, 12:21 PM
Just curious...when are you going to read the vote? I have 45 minutes of online time left and then I'm off for 12 hours. It would be nice to find out before I hit the rack, but not necessary.

"Gotta vote for the man defending our country, ardent..."

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 12:52 PM
"kodos is off, ardent is the winner"

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 12:54 PM

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 12:55 PM
"I vote for Kodos to win. He is going to need a lot of help to beat ardent, I think.

To be honest, I was hoping Radii would make it to the finals since I am having a difficult time choosing between former allies."

3-3, the score is tied

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 12:57 PM
"Were it not for Kodos' ingenious(though misguided) plot to get Marmel out of the game, I never would have survived... I vote for Kodos to win the game."

4-3 Kodos

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 12:58 PM

If Kodos wins I hope he doesnt do... "some sort of self-aggrandizing pose or facial expression."

If Kodos wins this will be the worst Jury since........

well, Sunday night's Survivor! :D

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:07 PM
Well I guess I should read the final vote:

"Ardent Enthusiast - down with the Ricky Martin-loving alien!"

Lady and Gentlemen, the winner of Survivor FOFC I

Ardent Enthusiast

Kodos
05-14-2003, 01:10 PM
Congrats to Ardent! Strikes a pose, then realizes that he has lost - pretends he is stretching

And Marmel - I did NOT stuff the ballot box! :p

Marmel
05-14-2003, 01:12 PM
Congrats Ardent.

Also, glad to see the Alien get his. :)

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:12 PM
By the way, the vote that was just added up above will not make any difference, Kodos still doesn't win.

Marmel
05-14-2003, 01:13 PM
dola.

Thanks to stkelly for taking a lot of time to do this entire survivor game. You did it very well stkelly! :)

But you do stuff your shorts. Go ahead, admit it... :)

Kodos
05-14-2003, 01:15 PM
Yeah, this was fun stkelly! Thanks for taking the time and effort to run the show. I just wish we had had more active participation! Thanks to everyone who voted for me - and damn you, Ricky Martin. You cost me the game! :D

McSweeny
05-14-2003, 01:15 PM
yes, well done stkelly

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:15 PM
With all the big talk about shutouts and what not, I was surprised by how close the vote was.

How is it that the guy who frequently couldn't even make it to the challenges never got voted off?

I couldn't bring myself to vote for the guy who was missing the challenges because he was on his way to the Persian Gulf. It would have been un-American...

What marmel said :) This was a very well run game and you deserve a ton of credit for it stkelly.

I'm sure it's pretty clear which vote was mine, but just in case:

"Were it not for Kodos' ingenious(though misguided) plot to get Marmel out of the game, I never would have survived... I vote for Kodos to win the game."

in terms of alliances, I was just lurking along the entire time and wasn't active at all in trying to form anything. the only reason I made the final 3 was because Kodos brought me along on it when he decided to make a push to get rid of Marmel. I think getting Marmel out of the competition made the endgame a lot more wild and exciting, and because of all that, Kodos had my vote the entire time. I did seriously consider voting for Ardent because of how well thought out his response to my final question was, but I stuck with Kodos anyway.

Great game guys :)

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:21 PM
From my impressions, I always felt that Marmel was in control of the game until he was voted off. Would you say that is accurate, and is so, where did he go wrong?

Marmel
05-14-2003, 01:26 PM
If I was in fact in control (which I really am not sure of), I went wrong in my response to Ardent's email, and then not telling Kodos what I told Ardent. I should have just said, I don't know, vote with your heart, or said Kodos, but told Kodos that I had to tell him something.

I guess I just didn't feel like putting the time into sending out another PM., and that might have cost me.

Kodos
05-14-2003, 01:26 PM
I think he went wrong by assuming the leadership role in the first place. That always makes you a target (just watch the real Survivor). People like to see the guy who is running the show fall. :) I'm glad I could make that happen! ;)

That being said, I would have stuck with his alliance if I didn't have strong reason to believe that he was plotting against me. It just seemed like he was aligning against me in his last round, so I started the rebellion to save my green alien hide.

Marmel
05-14-2003, 01:28 PM
Kodos, I flat out told you the only person I at least had a chance to beat in the Final 2 was you, so I wanted to take you along to the final 2 and vice versa.......did you not get that message? :)

Kodos
05-14-2003, 01:30 PM
I got that message. But it was after my suspicions had been formed and the rebellion had been made. I figured it was just trying to keep me off guard, since I had gotten wind of the fact that you had promised just about everyone that they would be in the final three with you and Splits.

Marmel
05-14-2003, 01:32 PM
hehe. You are so damn goofy. You, splits and I were the original 3 person alliance. What the heck was I supposed to tell everybody else when they asked? We obviously needed more than 3 people to vote others out earlier in the game.

The original, original plan was me and splits, but as the game moved on, I realized I could never beat him in the final 2, and you were the only person that at least gave me a chance. I suspect you would have won this whole thing if you didn't break the alliance because if you only lost to ardent by 1, you would have beat me by a couple votes.

John Galt
05-14-2003, 01:36 PM
Thanks. That was a great game. I enjoyed it until the end. I also like being the deciding vote. :)

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:39 PM
The voting was actually very funny because all of Kodos' votes came in first. Everyone was talking about how it would be a landslide victory for ardent, and I was wondering if kodos might sweep it all.

Kodos
05-14-2003, 01:40 PM
Marmel: Who knows? You're an institution around here. It probably would have been close either way. I don't mind losing, really. I'm happy that I was able to manuever myself into the final. After that, it was out of my control. Of course, I would have preferred winning, but no big deal. I'm happy for ardent. He was honest and loyal, and it paid off for him. :) Nice job, ardent! Your million dollars is in the mail.

I was truly expecting to get slaughtered in the vote like Matthew, so the fact that I even came close to winning was a pleasant surprise.

You said my answer was better, and then voted for ardent! The Ricky Martin thing was a joke! :p

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:44 PM
People are still voting??? They don't get this game do they?

Kodos
05-14-2003, 01:45 PM
Nope. They keep voting after it's done!

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:46 PM
It's someone who wants to give Ardent the popular vote as well

Kodos
05-14-2003, 01:48 PM
If it isn't a pain in the ass, it might be interesting for you to post who voted for whom in each round.

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:50 PM
In each round? i didn't keep the votes, sorry. I can check on the finals though

Kodos
05-14-2003, 01:51 PM
Okay! That would be interesting too. :)

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 01:52 PM
Kodos's votes came from Split P, Coffee, Radii and the FOFC popular vote.

Swaggs didn't vote

The other votes were for Ardent

Swaggs
05-14-2003, 06:32 PM
Hey guys. Apologies for not making the vote. I was out of town for a few days closing on our new house and did not have computer access. I was hoping there would have been more questions and time to vote, but I guess my vote will remain sealed. :)

Thanks stkelly, it was fun.

Kodos
05-14-2003, 07:02 PM
Just for trivia's sake - who would it have gone to? I promise that I won't tell... ;)

Would you say something like this, perhaps?

stkelly52
05-14-2003, 09:42 PM
No problem Swaggs, it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Had you voted for Ardent the result would have been the same, had you voted for Kodos, it would have been a tie. The tiebreaker was to eliminate the FOFC vote, so the result would have been the same.

Ah ha, I understood it as the FOFC vote counted as the tiebreaker (basically it counted twice if there was a tie), but it was actually that it didn't count in the event of a tie.

I need to work on my reading comprehension...

Now, like the IWS, this means you are in charge of the next one, right? :D

Stkelly, if you're serious, yeah I could. It would take quite the imagination to even match what you've done, but I think I might be able to.

If you're not serious, I'd be happy to lend a hand in the next one! :)

A few mental notes: Beat up Coffee Warlord. PM Skydog for my title to be changed to "FOFC Survivor".

"I vote for Kodos to win. He is going to need a lot of help to beat ardent, I think.

Woohoo! Just got back into town and found out who won. Congrats ardent, I really had a tough time trying to pick between you guys. As you can see, in the end I went with the underdog.

Stkelly, that was an amazing game, and if you need any help with Survivor #2, just let me know.

Now that the game is over, it’s kind of funny that everyone assumed Marmel was the leader. What no one realized is that I had some type of alliance with five or six of you right before the tribal mix-up. Hehe, that was fun. Anyway, congrats again ardent, the FOFC Survivor.
