It's not like there's zero hotels in the NYC metropolitan area with power, they just figured it'd be impolite to try arrange accommodations with any of them.

"Before we looked for another one (hotel), we decided we just didn't feel right about asking employees at any of the hotels down there to start making a bunch of extra efforts to accommodate us, when so many of them are having issues themselves," a senior Steelers official told ESPN's Rachel Nichols.

Not sure why they just couldn't stay in southern CT or north, more inland Jersey. I don't think it'd be impolite to offer any hotels there their business.

I understand why it's a spot foul. If a guys going to get burned, and tackles a guy, 15 yards isn't severe enough for basically taking away a TD.

But yeah that one...yuck. Both teams need to chuck one deep once a series if that's the standard.

When Rainey was down on the sideline, the Steelers O-line and Giants D-line got in a circle, hand in hand, and prayed.

Bill Leavy flagged them for holding.

Eli was off today...the receivers were off today...defense isnt really a "great" defense anyway so cant be relied on to hold an offense to <20 points.

As bad as that FG fake call was...I had a feeling it wouldnt matter. They just werent going to move the ball or stop the Steelers running game. Oh...and they refuse to cover Heath Miller.

Good job by NBC of playing the music to Sevendust's "Seasons" heading to commercial after Matt Bryant's missed field goal just now. One of my favorite songs from my favorite band. I shouldn't be surprised because of Sevendust's connection to Georgia and the Falcons, but it was still good to hear.

I want to hear the full explanation for the Delay of Game against the Panthers when the official stood behind the center (waiting for the refs to count the players according to the announcers), then backed off to let them snap with about 2 seconds left on the playclock.

Yep, the ineptitude of the officials eventually bit both teams. On the Panthers 30 yard TD run, where the whistle blew on the FREAKING 20 YARD LINE, the ref was interviewed after the game and gave this humongous BS answer: "By the time the whistle blew, he had already crossed the goal line," referee Carl Cheffers told a pool reporter.

Carl Cheffers should be fired for blatantly lying about something that was on TV and can be viewed by anyone.

He got 64 points or something for me. Still down nine points and my opponent still has Jimmy Graham left. 166-157.

My opponent had the best week he's had in the four years we've had this league. He's consistently one of the worse owners in the league. Such is fantasy football..

I don't think you can complain too much about the defense today. Holding Atlanta to 19 is pretty damn good.

Couldn't agree more with the first part though. If you have a QB like Romo, you have to cut him loose. Garrett just calls conservative bullcrap until he realizes they are down with 8 minutes left in the ballgame, then he lets Romo throw the ball around and they look pretty good. Yes, you'll get some 5 INT trainwrecks from him but he'll also give you a chance to win most of the time.

The New York Giants actually remind me of the San Francisco Giants. When they lose, they look absolutely horrible doing it, and you wonder how anyone could consider them good. When they win, they usually do just enough to get by, with the occasional dominant performance.

We were flipping back and forth so I thibj I saw the play in question, but not the aftermath. Holy shit...they called that a TD? I thought he clearly stepped out of bounds. I do not buy any of that whistle B.S.. the Cam delay of game was equally a "refs being hacks" moment as well. Glad they ponied up the money for these chumps. I thought Williams stepped OOB too, watching it live, but that may have been driven by hearing the whistle. They did replay it and he stayed in bounds the whole way.

This. Montana was drafted in 1979, Young retired in 1999. That's 20 years of incredible QB play.

Going from one QB that set an NFL record for career QB rating, directly to another QB who set the new record for career QB rating...unheard of.

Let's all keep in mind here that Luck is 8 games into his NFL career. I thought he was great at Stanford, but he's one hit away from being a yet another "what if" in NFL history.

I am right there with you. I am down by 76 and I have Vick, Graham and Celek left. I think my chances are not as good as yours. (it is a PPR league though, where they are expected to get 25, 18 and 15 points though, so not completely out of reach)

The local Papa Johns here in Phily are have a dela that for each TD the Eagles scores, the following day you get one buck off a $10 large cheese pizza for delivery. Maximum 6 bucks off. If they get four TDs, then I get $6 dollar large cheeses, and if they do really well, I can get pizzas, for delivery, not just pick u, for four bucks each!!!

Yes, clearly this is true.

Football Outsiders has him 12th amongst QB's in 2010, and 11th in 2011. In addition, he's contributed ~600 yards rushing each of those seasons at ~7 yards per carry. The idea that this makes him a "piece of shit" is just wropng.

I get that Vick isn't Tom Brady, but he's average at worst. As the announcer pointed out, when 4 out of 5 starting lineman (including Peters, one of the best LT's in football) are out, what miracles do you expect?

Vick has 1 year of over 60% completions. He's a below average passer who used to be able to win games with his feet. Now that his athleticism is no longer unique for the position, and really isn't close to the best anymore, he's just a below average passer who had one outlier season in 2010.

His athleticism is fine. He's "blessed" with a coach who seems determined to make him into a pocket passer and an offensive line that's the worst in the league. I don't understand why he doesn't run more but I can only assume it's been coached out of him, because when he runs he still looks electric.

Data - give me data, not what you feel like. QB rating is a more imperfect rating, but has him doing well in 2010 and decent in 2011. Observations are great, but the idea that Vick is bottom of the barrel is just silly. I think if Philly cuts him this offseason (which seems likely), I could see him doing well elsewhere (Arizona? Buffalo? Jets?)

Data - give me data, not what you feel like.

One year of 60% completion rate was already given. He's never been a good passer. He was a great runner, and is still a good runner, but he's nowhere near the anomaly he once was.

Other than the 2010 season his TD/INT numbers are pretty mediocre, and he fumbles a good bit. His total TD to turnover numbers are poor except for 2010. His "decent" 2011 produced a total of 19 TDs and 24 turnovers.

Reid got Vick over 3,000 passing yards finally, including the good year in 2010, but Reid also made Kolb and Feeley look like potentially legit NFL QBs. The OL this year is crippling any chance that he'll be successful this season.

NFL QBs know that 3 seconds results in a sack more often than not. Vick still can't read defenses or audible correctly.

Bring the TE or RB over to block. I'm not an X and O guy, but I watch a ton of football and a good QB knows when there are more guys coming then he has blocking and does something about it. Vick doesn't seem to get that
