I'm guessing this is a long shot, but I am wondering if anyone knows how to solve my issue. I just got my DirecTV hooked up in my new house, and because the previous owner had an obsession with hiding components, my HR22-100 is hidden in another room from where I want to watch TV. As a result, I bought a Harmony 1100 with an IR extender which worked great with my cable box (Comcast.) It works almost perfect with my HR22-100, but whenever I press the arrow buttons on the remote, it acts as a double press. I tried the Harmony's trouble shooting which involved changing a setting that ranges from 0-5. I switched it to 2, 1, and 0 all without any luck. Any ideas what could be causing the issue and/or how to fix it?

Have you tried customizing the buttons? You might be able to remap them so they work as they should, instead of doing what they are doing...? I know that would be a pain in the ass but that might be the solution.

Have you tried switching to RF instead of IR? I've always thought the DirecTV receivers came with RF functions and/or an adapter for them.

I tried it once, but maybe I didn't do it right. I'll give it another try.

It didn't come with an adapter that I know of, but I think the remote is capable of RF. I would love to get an RF adapter if possible and it isn't too expensive. That would be an excellent solution.

Hmmm, looking at the on-line manual, the HR22-100 may have an internal RF receiver.. checking into this now.

No problem & glad its working for you. That is one nice thing about DirecTV receivers. I wish we had RF control capabilities as IR is just so flaky.
