Anyone check out the first episode? Story of a washed up star closer that winds up in his hometown, teaching gym at the high school. Looks like it has potential. Nice to see Seth from Deadwood back on HBO.

I laughed a good amount, but wonder what kind of legs the show will have.

I guess it's having something like a six episode run to start off with. I liked the first episode. I wouldn't be surprised if all 6 episodes are pretty strong.

With a name like that it should be about trucking, I am disappointed. :)

We watched Summer Heights High when it was on...probably about 8 episodes. Thought it was funny. I forgot about this one.

Is this show actually good? I watched like 5 minutes of it, and it just seemed like a John Rocker type character with alot of childish humor that I didn't really get.

Did the show get better as it went on, or is that pretty much all there is to this?

It had some good laughs but didn't blow me away. I'll give it another couple episodes to see if it hooks me...

I watched it but doubt I'll catch another one. A couple of laughs but that guy is just too unlikable as a character for me...

Hear it had terrible numbers overnight, something like .6 or less I think.

Sad to hear that although I've never understood why HBO cares about ratings. They should develop a better system to evaluate their content. Hell I have HBO but only really watch it On Demand. Caught the first episode of this tonight On Demand. I loved it, hope it sticks around and has time to get to where they are wanting to go.

Will Ferrell is an executive producer and will appear as a car dealer.

I try to give HBO shows a 5 episode grace period. I suspect this show has a chance to be pretty funny.
