Does anyone else get a beeping noise occassionally when they come to FOFC? I've gotten it on two separate computers with two different methods of connecting to the internet. It isn't every time that I get it either. It sounds sort of like a radar ping.

Nope. I have pop-ups enabled for PMs to come up in another window. Maybe it's just me.

I had this occur on Friday. I turned off my work computer speakers for an hour and when I turned them back on, it was gone. Definitely was not a pop-up blocker for me.

Yeah, one of the lovely ads. I have seen/heard it on a few other sites, and I really am not sure how any ad agency thinks that is a good idea. Most people think their computer is about to explode when they hear it.

yeah its the Congrats you won a free prize ad or some such wording. I guess the "prize" is the annoying beeping sound that makes me think my computer is about to crash
