That sucks. RIP.

I don't mean this as a joke, but I can do an impression of him that is dead-on. Seriously.

You know that this guy earned a multi-million dollar salary right?

I heard a feature about in on NPR. His schedule was a killer. The routine he used to protect his voice was pretty amazing.

If you can do him...then maybe you have a future after all;)

My friend and I used to make up trailers using his voice for hours at a time. From time to time each of us has lucked into various voiceover jobs, and then at one point my friend got called in to do an actual trailer for a Hungarian movie that would be shown at a film festival. After a few takes, my friend did a joke take like LaFontaine and they loved it. I need to ask him if they used it in the end.

RIP Dan. You will be missed.

I had the pleasure to work with him on one occasion for a multimedia cd the company I was with produced back in 99, he was an amazing guy and had some great stories about movies, actors/actresses.
