A 27-year-old woman was killed Monday in Melvindale, Mich., by a display-grade 3-inch mortar. She did not have a license for the device. She was bending over the aerial firework to see why it had not launched when it exploded and struck her in the head.

This has seriously got to be some form of natural selection.
