I have always thought that injuries were injuries... That they happened and had prescribed lengths.

But Anquan Boldin has possibly altered my perception. I signed him as a FA and he had a great season opposite Roy Williams. The following season in the last preseason game he dislocates a knee. Normally, I would think this would end a season. But Boldin was only out 6 weeks! After two healthy weeks he sprains a knee ligament and is questionable 8 weeks. I made the playoffs, so I activated him (since he was probable with one more week to go.) In the game he tears knee cartilage and is out for three weeks. Only three weeks!

Does his short recovery period seem odd? Or has this happened throughout the game and I haven't noticed it after all these years?

Maybe I've been too dumb to realize that endurance can affect recovery time??? (He's at 98/100)

Actually, none of those are any of the dreaded ACL/MCL tears, so I wouldn't expect really long recovery. I'm not sure about disclocated knee, but knee cartilege can be scoped and have you back quite quickly I think, and a sprained knee varies quite a bit but 8 weeks seems reasonable if it's not too bad.

I don't think you can actually dislocate your knee , but you can dislocate your kneecap, which is about a 4-6 week injury, typically.
