I am in a Lease option on this home and the option kicks in here in September. Right now, my backyard needs some serious work, the number one problem....

I have puncture vine everywhere, anyone know how to kill it? Or get rid of it without having to tear up my backyard.

If you don't want to cut / yank / pry it out, you could try to very carefully apply a herbicide to the leaves and stem with a narrow paint brush. Also, have you tried the herbicides that are supposed to kill weeds but not harm turf grasses ... either the liquid stuff you apply with a pressure sprayer or the "weed and feed" granules applied with a spreader? Assuming there are dormant seeds in the soil, you'll probably have to deal with it for a couple of years.

Before I flew out, I applied total vegetation killer to the backyard....I have a bit of grass in an area where I dropped some sod. I left that alone...

When I get back, we will see how it works....

At a minimum, you should at least be able to spot the Vietcong now.

What the hell? Just let it go....leave it alone. I do it, and my three foot tall grass/weed combo in the yard makes my house stand out from the neighbor's. :D
