Ok........I have installed a DVD drive on my computer. Everytime I load a DVD a cursive "I" comes up on my drive letter in "my computer". If I click on the DVD, "Interactual DVD Player" wants to load on my computer, which is no big deal. Except, when it loads, and goes to play I get an error message that says I need a dvd decoder. If I play the DVD in Windows media player, it works fine, but I can't get it to default, even if I set windows media to default player. Any ideas?

Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Interactual DVD Player -> Remove ;-)

I'll have to dig up the steps to reset the action so that Media Player is the default for DVDs.

I've done that, but then when I insert a DVD, to play it the Interactual install comes back up. I've now set the interactual player to default to Windows Media player, but it pisses me off this shit is on my machine. Not to mention, I can play DVD's on WMP, and not on interactual because of the "DVD Decoder" message.

Do you have autoplay set up so that it will open up in the software of your choice when you insert the DVD?

How do you change that? I think that would do it.

Click on My Computer
Right click on your DVD drive and choose Properties
Click on the Autoplay tab
Choose DVD movie from the combo box on the top
Select which application you want to open your DVDs with.
