first off, great game. Secondly, I'm having this problem...
My buddies and I started a franchise with a created teams and the three of us created... as the season went on and our stats piled up, we were no where to be found on any of the trophy watch lists or league leaders list even though we were amongst the leaders. THEN, once one of us would get injured... our stats would erase back down to 0, and we would then "count" in the league leaders and everything else. Anyone else experiencing this? anyway to fix it?
Also, in my solo season, the "calder trophy" watch is just blank out of nowhere suddenly about 70 games in.

Oh, boy. The 2K Sports franchise bugs strike again.
Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm sad to say that your scenario doesn't surprise me.

As Pumpy said, there usually seems to be some sort of major bug in any given 2K sports game. Have you tried turning off injuries?

well, I forgot to mention, now that our players have reset at different times when they've all had minor or major injuries at some point, it doesn't happen again. It only resets that first time. but of course, all our stats previously are gone.

damn this is bad news. Franchise is the biggest thing to me and I was enjoying playing NHL2K6 - I found the game play to be a lot more realistic then the EA NHL series.
and yesterday I read that the EA NBA Live 2006 has removed franchise for xbox 360 so I was considering moving on over to the 2k NBA game for 360.
If these franchise bugs are a common thing - I may just get both EA hockey and basketball for my CPU and simply wait on the xbox 360 till next year.

This IS bad news...argh. Could be a combination of created teams and injuries...that blows dude :(

I don't have any of the the 2K6 games, but every one of the 2K5 games had some sorta of franchise bug. Most of them were ones that froze the game during simulation of other games, and most of the time there wasn't a way past it.
Turning injuries off seems to fix a lot of them.

As for the XBox 360 games, there is a decent chance these type of bugs won't be in them. They will be charging the more standard price for those games, and may spend more time on tightening up those games.

Possibily true, but these types of bugs have been in the games for year, even when they were $50.
Again, injuries (or more specifically, how the computer handles injuries for AI controlled teams) is usually the problem.

Here's the best review I've read on 2k6 - also has a neat video with it.
