View Full Version : Just had to take the Wonderlic

As part of a job application, I just had to take the Wonderlic test. Oddly enough, it was a short version of the test than the NFL players take (8 minutes instead of 12).

While the questions are designed to try to make sure you are REALLY paying attention, I find it even more laughable what some of the really low scores are. Of course, they haven't told me my score yet, so maybe everyone can laugh at me later too.

Yeah, I took a glance at that when I found out I'd have to take it. The one I took about the same as far as difficulty, but longer.

Yeah, I took it about 5 years ago, before I knew it was used in the NFL. Had to take it before taking a course, can't remember why.

Well, I did well enough to get an interview. Excellent.

I've read some players "boycott" it, and score 0's on purpose.

I just scored 12/15 on this test, and I'm borderline drunk. Is that good?

I just scored 12/15 on this test, and I'm borderline drunk. Is that good? Not if as noted in an another thread that you are at your most productive while drunk. If that's as high as you can score at "optimum," either your judgement of optimum is flawed or your rate of productivity is flawed. I'll go with the former.

Hang on, chief...........I didn't say I was "at my most productive while drunk". I said "I'm more productive at work than ever before". Do not confuse.......I do not go to work drunk. I go to work hung over.

Please get facts straight prior to posting. Thank you, please drive though.........

I scored 14 of 15 and I am the same. I didn't get, well, correction, I didn't try to get #11. I can figure the algebra involved but I am borderline drunk so with a minute left I just assumed that if I cared I'd have gotten it. :)

I should be happy about this but I'm not. I guess I really thought the test would be a little tougher.

The score that matters Wasabiak.

1 12 oz Stone IPA
1 12 oz Anchor Porter.

BTW,

don't let these tests fool you. A good score can come simply with repetition. Practice does help a lot. These question types you'll see everywhere in tests. Pretty soon you recognize them and answering becomes pretty routine.

Well, here's a question that, honestly, I'm a little disappointed wasn't on the test...........

Which weighs more, a 12 oz. Bud Light, or a 12 oz. brandy and cherry coke?

a.) Bud Light
b.) Brandy/cherry coke
c.) Who gives a rat's ass?

I'm guessing b and c right now.

Trust me, Wasabiak does not make the most productive trades when he is drunk.
