New recruits will be introduced week 4. It got very redundant doing the first three weeks, so this should cut out a lot of the fat.

Just an FYI because I am going to work on week 1 now and I didn't want guy worried they were being left out.

Iowa 7 Nebraska 84

Maurice Hall goes 6 for 10 for 126 yards and 2 TD
Arnie Turnbell goes 19 for 24 for 316 yards and 5 TD

Maurice Hall tears a tricep muscle, and is done for the year (26 months)

Ole Miss (0-0) @ Utah (0-0)

Ole Miss 33 @ Utah 15

Jumbo Berrios has a decent day for the Utes catching 4 balls for 79 yards and a TD.

Utah threw 37 times, but QB Benavides only completed 11 passes as the Ole Miss D was too much to handle.

Marshall (0-0) @ #12 Florida (0-0)

Marshall 0 @ #12 Florida 59

Randy Kaminski, seeing extra time in the rout, wins Game MVP rushing 17 times for 151 yards and 2 TD.

Starting RB Shannon Tunnell runs 17 times himself, for 81 yards and 1 TD. Tunnell is doubtful for the Gators with a torn thumb ligament that will take 7 weeks to heal.

UCLA (0-0) @ Colorado State (0-0)

UCLA 24 @ Colorado State 3

Mitchell White carries the load for the Bruins, though he was unspectacular going up against Jeff Nights. White ran 15 times for only 41 yards.

Stan Gunner dressed up but didn't see the field in what was a tight contest (3-3 going into the half), but two third quarter scores blew it open.

Jeff Nights made his collegiate debut in style, chalking up 10 tackles (9 solo, 1 assist) and playing the role as key cog in stopping UCLA's run game.

Cal @ #23 Illinois

Cal 10 @ Illinois 42

Illinois did the damage with ball control and defense. No reciever had 60 yards, no running back had 100 yards. 9 different Illini did catch passes in a spread out attack. The D though was the story, with two INT returns for TD.

DeToxRox
02-16-2005, 06:23 PM
Nevada (0-0) @ Texas A&M (0-0)

Nevada 3 @ Texas A&M 42

The A&M offense rolled, while the defense held Nevada in check. The D only had two sacks on the day, but did force several turnovers.

02-16-2005, 06:27 PM
Western Michigan (0-1) @ Washington (0-0)

Western Michigan 0 @ Washington 55

Roosevelt Clinton looked solid (in contrast to the team) running 11 times for 71 yards, but Washington was too much. Domination everywhere, Western was sent back to Kalamazoo wondering what they were up against.

Louisville @ Nebraska

Lousville 3 @ Nebraska 44

Arnie Turnbull goes 17 for 22 for 246 yards with 2 TD and 1 INT in the rout of the Cards.
Brian Butts still is RS'ed, even with the injury to Hall.

Pittsburgh @ Texas A&M

Pittsburgh 27 @ Texas A&M 30

A&M's D sorely lacking a pass rush only has two more sacks vs Pitt. None the less, A&M scored 23 unanswered points in the last 18 minutes, winning it with a 26 yard FG with 1 second left.

UCLA @ Oklahoma

UCLA 0 @ Oklahoma 31

Oklahoma, the Nation's 3rd ranked team, just pounced the Bruins. Mitchell White runs 10 times for 42 yards, as the Bruins ground game still remains stagnant. Another game for Stan Gunner in which he doesn't play.

Baylor @ Florida

Baylor 0 @ Florida 52

Florida's D with it's second straight shut out in another thumping of an undermatched team. Jerome Maier runs 11 times for 74 yards and a TD in the blowout.

Illinois @ Maryland

Illinois 16 @ Maryland 14

The Illini with on a FG with 2 minutes left against the Terps. Illinois threw 28 times, but QB Tully only completed 16 passes for 154 yards, and had no TD's. The leading reciever was RB Bradford.

Utah @ Minnesota

Utah 33 @ Minnesota 6

Utah has two 100 yard rushers, and QB Benavides goes 14 for 26 for 156 yards with 1 TD/1 INT.

Colorado State @ Colorado

Colorado State 40 @ Colorado 24

In Jeff Nights first CSU/CU game, he made his presence known. Nights had 6 tackles (5 solo, 1 assist) and 3 INT. The CSU D had 7 INT for the day.

North Texas @ Vanderbilt

North Texas 13 @ Vanderbilt 10

Vanderbilt RB Corey Duffy runs 25 times for 127 yards but it isn't enough as North Texas manages a last minute FG for the 13-10 W.

Louisiana Tech @ Texas

Louisiana Tech 0 @ Texas 65

8 players catch passes for Texas, with Settelmaier having the biggest day with 4 catches for 109 yards and 1 TD. Texas had 6 recieving TD on the day.

Georgia @ Texas A&M

Georgia 42 @ Texas A&M 14

Georgia threw all over the Aggies secondary. The D for A&M did contribute 6 sacks in the blowout.

Nebraska @ Arizona

Nebraska 56 @ Arizona 21

Nebraska has two 100 yard rushers, mixed in with Arnie Turnbull going 16 for 27 for 259 yards and 3 TD.

Illinois @ Toledo

Illinois 42 @ Toledo 35

What a finish. Illinois scores 21 points in the last 3:56 to send the game to OT, and then in Double OT manages to score and hold. Hanks with 6 catches for 127 yards.

North Carolina @ Texas

North Carolina 7 @ Texas 55

Texas WR Powell had today's big game with 3 grabs for 148 yards and a TD. Xavier Trammell, Texas QB, goes 15 for 18 for 301 yards and a TD.

Indiana @ Colorado State

Indiana 6 @ Colorado State 48

Another big game for Nights, who has 10 tackles (7 solo, 3 assists) as the Rams roll the Hoosiers.

Vanderbilt @ Virginia

Vanderbilt 7 @ Virginia 13

Duffy runs 20 times for 46 yards in a game that went to OT. A true defensive battle, it was 7-7 after the first and then scoreless until OT.

So I am going to do this..

The new recruits (as I wanna get 2-3 more sign ups) will be posted at the end of the year.

I won't do detailed reports of all the schools after them. I think that can be an overkill with the amount of players we have.

So, after the season is posted, I will post the recruits info and where they are committed, along with the situation at those schools for their position.

Florida 23 @ Arkansas 22

26 Tunnell 19 87 4.5 16 0 6 0

Florida comes back with two TDs (90 yard punt return and 11 yard TD pass) in the last three minutes to steal with road SEC win.

Tunnell looks decent coming back from injury.

Utah 38 @ New Mexico 14

87 Crist 2 66 33.0 26 35 1

Utah has three players rush for over 65 yards in the thumping of New Mexico.
Crist is leading reciever.

Iowa State (1-2) @ # 19 Texas A&M (2-1)

Iowa State 11 @ Texas A&M 41

78 Still 3 0 1.0 0 0 0

Still has the only sack for A&M in their thrashing of the Cyclones.
The pass rush for the Aggies is still very inconsistent.

Boston College (2-0) @ #5 Texas (2-0)

Boston College 6 @ Texas 55

17 Trammell 23 14 225 9.7 42 3 0
84 Settelmaier 3 100 33.3 63 42 1

Oregon State (2-1) @ UCLA (1-1)

Oregon State 17 @ UCLA 66

29 White 10 68 6.8 17 1 2 0

Mitchell White has a solid game for not carrying much in a dominating win over the Beavers.
Stan Gunner again doesn't see any PT in the win.

San Diego State (0-3) @ Colorado State (2-1)

San Diego State 10 @ Colorado State 28

42 Nights 1 1 0.0 0 0 0

Nothing of note really on D for the Rams. No one had more then 3 solo tackles, as Colorado State DOMINATED time of possesion 40:01 to 19:59.

Vanderbilt (0-2) @ Auburn (2-1)

Vanderbilt 18 @ Auburn 44

Nothing of note in this game.

Ohio (0-2) @ Western Michigan (0-2)

Ohio 10 @ Western Michigan 17

35 Stephenson 14 52 3.7 13 1 6 0

The Broncos continue to struggle running the ball, but do pick up a needed home win vs Ohio to kick off MAC play.

I don't really care about the detailed summary, but it's kind of nice just knowing who is after you at a couple of junctures. Maybe you could post a week 6 and 12 update or something just saying what schools you are visiting or have offered or something. Something that would be less work, yet somewhat informative.

#17 Texas A&M (3-1) @ #8 Nebraska (4-0) [TV 1]

#17 Texas A&M 21 @ #8 Nebraska 52

96 McCubbrey 3 2 1.0 0 0 0

A&M had 1 sack again, but this was a loss that hurts bad. With a 21-17 lead going into the 4th, Nebraska reeled off 35 unanswered points, sending A&M home with numerous wounds to lick.

8 Turnbull 22 9 192 8.7 34 1 2

Nebraska scored 21 points off of two INT returns and a kick return.

#15 Kansas State (3-1) @ #2 Texas (3-0) [TV 1]

#15 Kansas State 12 @ #2 Texas 14

96 Haywood 2 30 15.0 20 20 1

Xavier Trammell had a horrible day throwing, but the Longhorns D was exceptional, considering they were on the field nearly 40 minutes. They bent but didn't break.

Auburn (3-1) @ #10 Florida (3-0) [TV 3]

Auburn 13 @ #10 Florida 7

35 Kaminski 20 103 5.1 62 0 6 0

The Gators moved the ball well enough on the ground, but Auburn's D played with heart. They kept the Gators out of the endzone, and two costly picks by QB Madison were the difference.

Minnesota (1-3) @ #25 Illinois (3-1)

Minnesota 15 @ #25 Illinois 41

89 Beatty 3 41 13.6 16 22 0

Illinois relied on the ground game from RB Bradford (198 yards, 4 TD) to beat the Gophers handedly. Illini QB Tully goes a pultry 13 for 24 for 149 yards in the win.

West Virginia (3-1) @ Utah (2-1)

West Virginia 0 @ Utah 31

87 Crist 3 22 7.3 20 10 2

Utah won this game through the air on offense, as QB Benavides went 20 for 28 for 217 and 2 TD. The D and special teams did the rest, absolutely punishing the Moutaineers.

UCLA (2-1) @ Arizona State (2-2)

UCLA 20 @ Arizona State 17

29 White 20 93 4.6 43 1 6 0

Mitchell White with another decent game, but the UCLA run game is still suspect.
Stan Gunner again does not play.

Ole Miss (3-1) @ Vanderbilt (0-3)

Ole Miss 55 @ Vanderbilt 17

47 Duffy 15 60 4.0 42 0 6 0

Vandy cannot stop Ole Miss, and they can't score when they get the chance.

Colorado State (3-1) @ Muskegon (1-3)

Colorado State 28 @ Muskegon 9

42 Nights 4 1 0.0 0 0 0

Jeff Nights is the leading tackler as Colorado State goes to 4-1 over an overwhelmed Sol 8 Muskegon team.

Western Michigan (1-2) @ Notre Dame (1-3)

Western Michigan 9 @ Notre Dame 49

35 Stephenson 12 109 9.0 36 1 5 0

Western moves the ball on the ground, but that is about all they could do. Notre Dame, in a down year, rolls.

ILB AJ Tucker, a kid who has idolized Nebraska since he was just a boy, is currently making two visits as of right now. His first is off to the team he's dreamed of playing for, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The second team is a bit of a dark horse, but offers the best Medicine program of the schools chasing Tucker, the Maryland Teripans. Nebraska remains this insiders pick on where AJ will wind up.

DE David Gonalzez, one of the Nation's most explosive .. and brash players is currently signed on to visit two schools himself. Both are logical choices, as David wants to stay close to his friends and family. His first visit will be with the Pitt Panthers. His second trip of course is to the Penn State Nitney Lions. With both schools neck and neck in their prestige, it is anyones guess where Gonzalez will wind up. My guess is he'll wind up playing for the Pitt Panthers.

OLB Wahoo McDaniel, a member of Florida's All State team, is one of the busier recruits, having four visits already scheduled. First up are the in state Florida Gators. Keeping with the in state theme, he'll head out to visit the campus of the Miami Hurricanes. Following his trips around Florida, Wahoo will venture out to Texas and visit with the Texas Longhorns. He'll finish up his visits in Indiana visiting Notre Dame. Early money is on Wahoo winding up playing for Hurricanes.

QB Tyler Milner will have the easiest schedule as of right now. With only one visit planned, Milner will have time to soak up the LA sun as he is going to visit the Southern Cal Trojans. With USC being the only school he is visiting, and best in the field of Trig and most prestigious of those catering him, USC looks to be the landing spot for Tyler.

LB AJ Tucker has finally made up his mind. No one was shocked when he told the local Nebraska news that he was verbally committing to the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers! Tucker mentioned how impressed he was by the recent roll the Huskers were on. He also named dropped Brian Butts as one of his tour guides as he visited Lincoln. He proclaimed him a great friend.

DE David Gonzalez was next to decide where he wanted to play. With only two schools in the running, Gonzalez decided the opporunity with one of his best friends from High School was too good to pass up, and so he'll be playing football next year for the Penn State Nitney Lions!

LB Wahoo McDaniel decided waiting wasn't worth it, and he too decided to stay in state and prove our insider wrong. McDaniel, not detered by their recent two game skid, announced to his school he'd be playing for the Florida Gators!

QB Tyler Milner also made up his mind. Upon getting back from LA, he was eager to call a press conference, announcing that he was leaving the snow and ice of Minnesota to go play in the sun with the USC Trojans!

Isnt he a chem major, so why would trig matter?

You really took on a lot of work here. Hope you keep it up. Seems so many start up and then fizzle quickly.
I am kinda wishing I had been redshirted but maybe the activation but non playing will inprove my abilities quickly.

Actually I am quite happy ending up at Florida, considering I went to UF for real and live in Gainesville. I am so glad I didn't end up a Hurricane (a Longhorn would have been okay, but I am looking forward to playing for the Gators.)

So I botched on Week 8 and forgot to save all boxscores.

I think I am going to stop doing stats anyways for the other teams (when an FOFCer isn't playing) because its useless.

So Jeff Nights, I apologize for no numbers this week (but he still has 0 sacks and 3 INT, so all he had were tackles), but hopefully it shan't happen again.

This will be a total bare bones production just the teams and score right now.
