Yet Another Political Post.

I don't usually start these but this article surprised me. This is a very strong statement by a seemingly presigious group of men. I'm sure that the political machine is going to go into overdrive to trash them in short order but I can't recall the last time something like this has happened.

I think it's quite surprising in a way but does show the possibilities that people may start holding our elected officials to a certain standard and be willing to band together if they feel it isn't met. I may be wrong but this group looks too diverse to simply be playing politics as usual.

The thought must frighten pols on both sides of the fence. I'm sure they'll fight it tooth and nail. :)

Dola,

The Free Republic thread as of this post is just getting started but it should be a fun one to watch.

Already we have a keeper

"There's a reason they are "former" diplomats."

But surely they'll get better. :)

I caution a more skeptical approach. Off the top of my head here are three "non-partisan" operations:

1) The O'Reilly Factor's no-spin zone :D :D :D

2) The Centre for Independant Studies - in fact a right-wing think tank

3) The Australian Democrats - motto "We'll keep the bastards honest". Once they achieved any political power they descended into the same integrity-free zone as the others.

Beware of Greeks bearing gifts - or something like that :(
