Yes, amazingly, your Sidekicks have made it to Div. III after only 5 seasons of play. I was reading back on my season 20 dynasty and it really makes you realize how far FOFC has gotten in Hattrick. I remember being dang proud of a 60 NSI. I remember not even having NSIs.:)

Yeah, the pretty look is MUCH easier as it is only copy and paste, so maybe for once I won't get burned out from posting so much.

It is crazy that we're starting to get in Div. III, in 5-7 seasons, maybe some of us will hit Div. II!:eek:

As I posted on the Hattrick board, "The Wolfpack" has officially folded from III.3, so things are now MUCH easier as we only have to beat out one team to stay in Div. III another year.

This is good because while I don't think I am ready for Div. III this year, I will be next season. So if we can stick around one season, we should be ok from here on out unless we have a disastrous season.

The Wolfpack had been around since 2000 and was owned by one of the Shook brothers. Here were their last ratings(new style)

Ok, with the ratings, while I don't like the new ratings because I had worked hard to be able to see a "magnificent" midfield and such, I will be using JUST the new ratings for this dynasty from now on, even though it will be difficult for me and probably most of you for a while.

Stefan was purchased nearly a year ago for $83,000. For some reason at the time, I thought I needed to get defenders who could pass with the new rules. With me being a PM trainer however, this is very pointless as I never get to counterattack because to counterattack you need the weaker midfield. Miguel is the only product of our youth squad that has ever made the team past two weeks. At the time of his call-up from the youth squad academy, Miguel was a 19 yo solid defender, we couldn't get the price we asked for on the transfer market, so after two attempts, we decided to keep him. Miguel is, unfortunately, the weak link on the team and needs to be replaced ASAP, which he will be next season with a new magnificent defender. Miguel gets 2.5 - 3 stars a match.

Tuvin technically isn't even supposed to be on the team, but somehow he stuck around. I bought Tuvin in our inagural season 18, but only to daytrade him later in the offseason, however, he wouldn't sell, so we kept him. Tuvin gets around 2.5 stars a match.

Training Program






Ok, I have set up what appears to be a decent training program. Here's how it works.


I always have two 18 yos, two 19 yos, and two 20 yos being trained.


At the end of each season(or early next season), I sell my two 20 yos, who for instance, next season, will be world class and supernatural.


To replace them, at the end of each season(or early next season), I buy two 18 yo trainees (17 yo if I purchase them at the end of the season). The new trainees are preferebly excellent - formidable in playmaking.


So each season, my training program will make approximately 10 - 14 million, which doesn't include ticket sales.


Starting next season I will be getting two 18 yo formidable playmakers with good secondaries, which will cost me approx. 4.5 million for both of them.


After purchasing new trainees, I will concentrate on what I feel is the weakest link of my team. As Alf mentioned, that is definitely defense at the moment. My next five additions to the squad are the following:



Magnificent central defender - $3.2 million (Will have funds within 2-3 weeks)


Brilliant defender/passable+ winger - $2.7 million(End of season 23)


Magnificent defender/passable+ winger - $3.8 million(End of season 23)


World Class scorer/passable+ passing - $5.5 million(End of season 24)


World Class winger/inadequate+ passing - $4 million (End of season 24)

As someone who has just recently been upgrading like this, might I recommend your purchase in a couple of weeks be for a magnificent defender with inad+ playmaking so you can play him offensive. Then again, with rebalancing (read: weakening) midfield some more, it's not that big of a deal, but I've found that my central defender is a great way to augment the midfield with little loss to defense.

Bojan was bought from a now defunct Croatian team for $36,000 when he was valued at $32,000. Reading from an old dynasty, I had intended to sell him at solid,lol. I can't remember why I didn't, but I'll be glad I didn't when I sell him in a few weeks at magnificent and after a week of stamina training. Bojan got 3.5 stars last week as a winger towards the middle.

Dennis had the worst form problems by a Sidekick player, ever, this season. He was in dsiastrous - wretched form for 7 straight weeks. Recently, he rebounded very strongly and is back to playing shape. Hopefully this weeks stamina training doesn't make him nosedive again. He got 3.5 stars last week, but that was in passable form, and with stamina training this week, who knows what he'll get. He was aquired for $1,009,000 as a "formidable" 18 yo PM.

Yay, it's stamina training time:) Other than the near inevitable form drop following stamina training, I think it's pretty fun because it's the only time people jump levels like crazy.

After this Sidekicks lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts.

We did it! We did it! We won a match in Div. III! And wow, did it get scary towarsd the end. Granted, it may have been against the weakest non-bot team, but all I did to do is beat one team for a qualifier anyways, so I'm pretty pumped to say the least. Now we'll be rooting for the Terps or someone else to lose the rest of their games.;)

Star-wise, Dach got his first ever 4.5 match, Ederveen looks like he should be able to get 4 stars when he's not repositioned, thanks to a two-level stamina bump, and coming off the bench, Rengelink got 3 stars also thanks to a two-level stamina bump.

It just dawned on me that I never added the III.3 series conference to my list, so I had missing on on predictions and such.

Elsa's Itch - Agawam Ambush

Well, looking at what I can, I can see a counterattacking team vs. a Midfield biased team. This one looks like it will come down to a lot of luck, as the midfield should be about 54-46 or less. Note that these are all guesses off of limited information....Ambush get a special event and a goal up the left. Elsa's gets a goal down the middle.

NE Oklahoma Sidekicks - Terps

Two fairly even teams, although the Terps are about as minimally controlled as you possibly can get. Congrats to the Sidekicks on qualifying by the way. If I had to take a shot at it, which I am, I think the slight midfield advantage allows the Okies to slip by. A goal down the middle and a goal down the left side.

Waterloo FC - Racer X

As I know my own team the best, hopefully I can break it down. Thanks to a good TS and a wonderful form update, WFC is looking to capture a nice midfield rating in the upcoming game. This is brought down by the fact the #1 striker went down on a Red Card in the last Cup match. WFC will be riding on their midfield to try and slip by a strong outside attacking team. Look for a high goal count. 3 goals on the wings for WFC, 2 on the left on on the right, Racer X will finish with a Counterattacking goal and a Right side goal.

Well, I guess this proves there is ONE time (well, twice in an HT season) I'll root against the Terps. I was a bit confused to see who you were playing at first. ;)

Couple of people posted predictions, the first one, which is through the first hald only, is VERY nice.



1. Waterloo FC - 17 pts (WFC always excells when TS is high at the beginning of the season. Look for a strong showing at the beginning.)
2 Agawam Ambush - 17 pts (Behind WFC only because of Goals Scored. A strong showing in the first week gave them 3 more points then I would have given them had I done this a week earlier.)
3. Elsa's Itch - 14 pts (I thought for sure, despite my prediction, that they would pull it off at home. There's the 3 point swing right there.)
4. NE Oklahoma Sidekickers - 11 pts (Not out of the race by much, a couple upset victories and they are on top.)
5. Racer X - 7 pts (Welcome to Div. 3. I like your team, I really do, but there are too many games in the first half where you don't have Home field.)
6. Dr. United - 7 pts (The Walkover at the beginning of the season really hurts United, not giving them the TS boost in the middle they are going to need)
7. Terps - 7 pts (Not much management going on here, and a team that I, unfortunately, am not too scared of personally. I have been wrong many a time before.)
8. The Wolfpack - 0 pts (Obvious.)

1. Dr United
It´s a lot more fun coming in sixth place if you aim for first;-)
2. Waterloo FC
They have a strong and evenly matched team which should be a very strong candidate for first.
3. Elsa's Itch
They are strong, very strong. Should be able to upset Waterloo and help me win the series half way.
4 Agawam Ambush
Despite first weeks win I think they will be behind Elsa in a couple of weeks.
5. Racer X
It´s always hard the first season and qualifying spot isn´t too bad. Especially since they´ll win that game with ease.
6. NE Oklahoma Sidekickers
This team should finish better, but I don´t know what other team to trade places with. I guess this is what you´d call a hunch.
7. Terps
Div.III is just too hard for teams that don´t try.
8. The Wolfpack



I agree with the 6th place finish, though I'm shooting for 5th.





And one of my series mates, Dr united got a player on the U-20 squad, how thrilling.

Oh, the part I disagree with the most is they BOTH called me the "SidekickERs".:)
