That was a very unhappy year for this Devils fan. The Devils could've knocked the Rangers out of the playoffs and played for the Cup themselves. It took me several years to forgive Brodeur for letting that final goal slip through.

You'd think so, huh? No, the Devils won the Cup the very next year, but I still wasn't a Brodeur fan. I didn't really like Brodeur much until the year after they won their SECOND Cup. If Brodeur had given up that goal in 1994 to any Eastern team besides the Rangers, Flyers, or Penguins, I would've gotten over it a lot faster. Those damn Rangers, though... urgh.
