From one New Jerseyan to another:

TOSSED PARTICIPLES AND SCRAMBLED SOLECISMS

:D Thanks to everyone who did all the hard work in the puzzle thread

Im pretty sure it's a play on the Frasier theme song, that's how I read it.

Since the answer is in here.. let me explain how the QB's play a role. Take 26 letters in the alphabet, and subtract Dorsey's jersey number on each line, and also subtract the QB's jersey number on each line. For example, for McNabb's line take 26-7(Dorsey)-5 (McNabb) = 14.

Edited to add this for clarity: Dorsey's number was important and his 7 should be subtracted from each line, and subtract the other QB's jersey number only from their respective lines.

Then, take all of the letters of the alphabet in order:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

For U, go 14 letters "back" which would equal G. If the 14 letters back goes past A, then wrap around the end of the line. The wording of the puzzle was very clever, and gave a lot of clues that I didn't get until after I was close to the solution. Again, I likely never would have figured this all out if there wasn't great work done by quite a few people in the initial puzzle thread.

Yeah, a round of applause to all the guys who worked on this, I kept getting flashbacks to 6th grade when I used to be able to do stuff like this but all I got when I tried to figure this out was a headache, it made for a fun couple of days.

Ditto, back in the day I think I could have figured this out much quicker. Now I needed several hours of work and a lot of help from people to crack this one.

I think Jim should announce his next release in the form of a puzzle. And he should do it on a weekday so that producitivty can drop as people in workplaces across America forget their work in an effort to find out what the next game it is that they will be buying.
