I was wondering if anyone knows how to take an old computer and wipe it clean so that it is basically like new. I want to delete everything on the computer except the operating system. I have my original Win98 CD and my Win XP upgrade CD, so I think I'm fine if I delete everything, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it.

put in the Windows XP CD and turn on the computer.

it'll walk you through the install process, including formatting the hard drive first (which erases everything).
