Statesboro 14 -- Tucker 7 at the half

Tigers led early on a 65 yd run but allowed Statesboro to score twice to take the lead. Tucker coulda/shoulda tied the game just before the half but QB D.T. McDowell fumbled near the goalline & Statesboro recovered for a touchback.

Halftime stats show Tucker outgaining S'boro 153-87, but two turnovers have cost them dearly.

If you ain't watching online or something, you're missing one heckuva high school fotball game.

Jon, what kind of overtime system is implmented in Georgia?

Same as college, but they get the ball on the 15.

This is the first time I've seen the new overtime rules in use in Georgia.

This doesn't look good. (Guess I should say sound good, as I can't see anything with my 56k, I can hear it though!).

Man, this is more stressful than any HS game I ever played in personally, that's sad. :D

Final: Statesboro 27 -- Tucker 24 in OT

Tucker got a FG, Statesboro gambles & converts 4th & 1 from the 6.
Tucker stops them twice from the 1 yd line but Statesboro pounded into the end zone on 3rd down.

One heck of a football game. And that's an understatement.

Sucks. Needed that Tucker-Marist final.

Just curious, watching the Elite 11 show on ESPN2, and A.J. Bryant is one of the kids there.
