What magazines do you read each week?

I enjoy Pro Football Weekly, though it's a bit expensive. The Whispers sections are excellent, as is their draft coverage. The columnists are very weak, though, and their fantasy coverage is pretty bad.

Sports Weekly, "McPaper", isn't all that bad, but I can't help feeling they don't know the sport very well. I tend to skim their football section while I read PFW. I don't see them lasting too much longer.

What are the best magazines for features? For fantasy tips and analysis? For college football?

I get The Sporting News, and it's, well, too brief. It's strongest point is it's column summing up player/team rumours & moves. The individual team focus is very brief, and leaves a great deal to be desired.

I'm sort of looking for something featuring the draft, but that is more frequent than quarterly. Maybe featuring the past 2 classes & updating them, in addition to projecting the next class.

I just can't bring myself to leaf through a magazine looking for "news" items much anymore. I've become such an internet junkie when seeking information, I can't get out of my head how old the information must be to have been printed professionally and distributed to my local vendor so I could buy it. (I similarly snicker at all my fantasy league rivals who draft using a cheat sheet from a magazine - who wants a football list generated in May?)

I read PFW stuff from time to time online, and I read baseball stuff in the Sports Weekly pub (also online), but pretty rarely actually carry any of that stuff around or pay for it. (I get The Sporting News, after a free internet promo, but only leaf through it every other week or so - I've been pretty disappointed with it overall)

I like Sports Weekly but IMO now w/ the NFL Network I watch that several hours a day along w/ ESPN and that is where I get the majority of my football news. Besides here of course :).

Well, I am more of an internet guy myself but I can tell one of best (if not the best) football news sources. News often gets here way before any other place and that includes ESPN. Here is a link;

Back in the day, before it went to color print, The Sporting News was far and away the best for stats and news, regardless of the sport. Now, its slowly getting closer to SI and a shell of its former self. I've read Sports Weekly several times and it's the best I've seen out there now.

I just watch the football games. No need for news here. Just give me the game, baby!
