K I'm somewhat of a novice regarding these type of things... so I was wondering, how do I switch the registry so that my one folder of FOF only saves in that folder, and doesn't use the other folders files?

That...is a confusing question. Are you asking if it is possible to change a registry setting to change the location of the universe folder?

(If so, I think the answer is no, but i'm not sure.)

are you talking about regedit.exe?

Well, basically... I'm the Commissioner of an NFL multi-player league that starts this Saturday, but I currently have a fictional league going in a separate folder than I plan on running the Multiplayer. I'm wondering if it's possible to have these two separate universes going without them interfering with each other. I read something about switching registries or something in another thread, and that's what I'm wondering about.

Got this from another thread:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football 2004\Full Path

I think you need to change that registry entry to link to the path of the installation you want to play. As primal said, you can use "regedit" to edit the registry.

Well, multi-player leagues are kepts in the "leagues" directory (while your single-player games are kept in "universe"). And multi-player files are given a filename that is the same as the multi-player league, so you don't have to worry about keeping multi-player files in a seperate folder for each online league.

Basically, the files should never interfere with each other.

dola,

the switching of the registry entries is for when you have 2 or more installs of the program. If that's the case, go with what Crap said.

Logos and team names are the conflict I see. RegEdit, change the install path each time you need to use a different thing.

Thank you very much for your help. Sorry the question wasn't phrased well at the beginning. But again, thanks.

Ah, ok. Makes sense.
