My queston in general: How is the running back selected in AI game plans?
I'm now in my 5th season. All years I had a running back (Willie Vernon - don't know his real name...) with a rating of about 75 all the time, together with different number two's (40-50 ratings). If I select Vernon as #1 in the DC, he and #2 split their rushing attempts most games. Recently I tried to switch the positions. In that games my #2 (turned #1) got almost 30 rushes each game and Vernon 2-3 per game, and that is independent of the PT settings - even tried a 9.
How is that possible? Normally I would assume the rushes would be assigned according to those DC settings. Vernon only managed one 1000 yard season, and that only was because of a league-leading 5.2 ypr ;)
