Kansas wins a "meaningful" football game! Not only that, but it's Mizzou. And now our fans, who are unfamiliar with the concept of "been here before" will tear down the goalposts and throw them into Potter Lake. Stupid fans...
Anyways, woo!

Burn the town down! It could be the last victory ever against a top 25 team. Enjoy it well you can.

Really, after beating Missouri? :) Hey, I didn't think anyone would rip down their goalposts after a win vs Missouri!!
We (Mizzou) looked a little off today... although Kansas came in pumped and took it to us in the 4th quarter.
Well, so much for my 5-0 and in comes Nebraska dream. I'm glad I have tickets, but 5-0 vs 4-0 Nebraska would have been nice.

Mizz,
Good game man. There are a lot of people calling for Pinkel's head right now, but I think that will quiet down. The Missouri playcalling was way too conservative today. They only had one passing play attempted for over 15 yards and that was to start the game. After that, you never saw MU try to stretch the field which allowed Kansas to put 9 men in the box early and often. Just horrible game plan by Missouri.
Brad Smith looked awful. He was one hopping passes left and right. Give KU coverage credit because Smith didn't have a lot of pressure, but couldn't find open men. Zach Abron is a beast. If Smith could have given him some help, Zach could have had a huge day today.
Kansas QB Bill Whittemore is the real deal. The guy is just a playmaker. I don't know that he's the best QB in the Big 12, but he's awfully good. Without him, KU would have lost that game today.
Good luck for the rest of the season and we'll see you guys in Columbia next season. I don't think Pinkel is going to allow his players to pull any posts down for a long time, lol.

Should I remind you that your school ripped down the goalposts after beating a pathetic 2-and-something KU school last year? At least we did it for beating a ranked team. Still, no excuse.

Two good things to come out of the game...
#1: Two more years of Brad Smith. Now that he has come back to Earth maybe the coaches will think about letting him do some of things that made him so good as a freshman. He looked like a deer in the headlights out there.
#2: My buddy might be able to land some tickets for the Nebraska game now that some Tiger fans are ready to jump ship. I am defintely not giving up on them but have been telling people all along to look at the 4 wins in our 4-0 start and not to get too exited yet.
It is actually nice to see some classy KU fans and reasonable discussion instead of any of the nonsense that goes on over a tigerboard after any KU or MU football/basketball win or loss.

I'm in agreement with just about everything you said. Although, I don't think many people are calling for Pinkel's head. He was out coached and his team was played today, plain and simple.
I really not that upset becuase I'm glad Kansas is making progress, it's about time.

Who's jumping ship? I'll be ready for the Nebraska game in two weeks. We're going on a party bus to Columbia, should be one heck of a time.

SI,
Yeah, had a great time at the game today. Beautiful weather for a rivalry game. You couldn't ask for a nicer day. I'm worn out after the game though, lol. It'll be an early night for me this evening, lol.
Mizz,
There were some Missouri fans (my family included, lol) who are not happy with Pinkel. No one is calling for his head just yet, but they are growing tired of the mediocre playcalling. I think it's just the emotion from losing a rivalry game which has a few people calling for his head.
Next season is going to be tough for my Jayhawks. We get Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas Tech back on the schedule plus Whittemore graduates. But Kansas is taking baby steps...and hopefully KU and MU will both get there in the next couple of years. I'd love to see the Border War on TV every season like the basketball games. That would be some great college football.

I think this is a much more respectful rivalry than our one with the purple power pussies to the west.
Also, I can't be too against Mizzou. I made many a trip to Columbia and my girlfriend made many more trips to Lawrence and we both live here now because I'm not done with school yet.
Then again, she's relatively indifferent to sports (tho, I got her hooked on going to Royals games this year :D) She knows that she can tease me a lot if we lose and doesn't really care if we win so it's a lose-lose for me :p
As for me, I'm still skeptical about Jowls Mangino but he did put together a pretty nice gameplan today. We couldn't get a push all day against your offensive line until it was to the point where it was "pass only" but more or less contained the Mizzou offense.
